Yeah I think you go Aminu at the 4. Although maybe if we play OKC you could start Meyers because Ibaka isn't likely to burn him with foot speed. No way Meyers can guard Griffin, Draymond or Aldridge.

It was a fun ride of starting the 20 year old but it will be silly if he's putting up these 0fers and we lose a playoff game by 1 point or something.

Jesus, we must be the team with the most "jump up and then go 'OH NO' and pass it off" team ever. At least 10 that I can think of tonight.

Okay so this has multiple levels. Let me explain:

First, there are three parts to every play:
    • Start, develop, finish.
    • You have to have what's called a patient whistle. Every single time you blow your whistle it should be during the Finish of play.
Second, a cardinal rule of refereeing is what's called "refereeing the defense first".
    • While keeping an "Open look" (looking through the players from the side). You're looking to see that the defender maintains their "Legal Guarding Position" (LGP).
    • A player may be moving. They do not need to be "set" (very common misconception).
If you see the defender is maintaining that LGP (a legal defender is something you're constantly looking for), and that the offense goes to AND through the defender (displaces the defender from his legally obtained position) it is an offensive foul.

So the key is to referee the defense first and observe that they are maintaining their legal guardian position.

You should have your own stickied thread, so we can all ask you questions throughout the season.

Plumlee and Meyers have been on the court together quite a bit tonight. Granted it's against ORL...

Yeah we're seeing a bit of the Plumlee/Meyers experiment tonight. Start Harkless, if you're only going to give a guy 12 minutes Mo would be more productive than Noah.
