Hey guys and gals. Sorry for my spotty posting, dealing with work. In particular a promotion that requires me to move to Bahstahn. But I've also now got 2 possible new opportunities in the SFO area. Interviewed for one last Tuesday and another this coming Monday. Either way, time to put Padre land in the rearview mirror.
Your talking about SFO being Frisco...? In Boston, you'll be closer to your Mom. In San Fran you will be surrounded by Libtards, and guys in assless chaps in public. Of course SF also has its finer sides, like no parking, excessive cost of living, no parking. Bicycycleville USA..? No, but s/b. I'd suck it in and go Bahstahn, at least the food is pretty good there, too bad they don't have either a Baseball or Football Team there, but they do have the Celts....
Good for you Tom, you should go to Boston. I have Friends that live there, and Rob is right the Food there is awesome.
Good stuff, lol! But in all seriousness, mom lives with sis now so she is covered. My in laws on the other hand are alone out here in CA. Job in SF is more interesting, better pay/bonus and has stock options. I can work from home/travel majority of the time so living farther outside bay area is an option. Could even go full Tahoe, shuttle in by plane via Reno. Then there is the coexistence issue. Rick has taught me that I can tolerate Giants fans....but Sox/Pat's fans....I just don't know. The only advantage to Boston would be living in southern NH and being able to exercise the 2A to be better prepared for the Trump/Clinton zombie apocalypse.
You've learned well grasshopper. I will always respect ownership that has an excellent farm system, does great recruiting & gives a shit about there fans.
If I ever see Massachusetts or Virginia again it will be two weeks to soon. Living in NH, working in Boston would be the best of both worlds in that area. Best of luck at whatever your choice, looks like you're getting a hell of an advancement coming.
Definitely looking forward to a change. I've loved my time in San Diego area, going on 25 years.....but as Rob can attest, it's not the same SoCal anymore.
Thanks. BTW drove by their stadium last week on a trip up to Napa. Have you ever been to a Giants home game out west?
Napa is a slice of heaven, not too far a commute..? Petaluma has some grand homes too, not to far away, same with Sausalito, grand. Candlestick in the 60's - 70s, I knew very very well, Oakland Alameda too, not only home of those great golden vest, kelly green socks, et al, and the Raydahs too baby..... what once only had chain link for OF fences, with a clear view of the bay waters beyond the OF during Giants games, quickly converted to a concrete dish; for those great Walsh 49'rs teams; and a tornado twister effected baseball fkd up stadium, due to the bowl swirls... SBC is gorgeous, yet IMO, lacks the one on one ambiance***, of the old concrete Candlestick, but makes up for it, in new era stadium concessions, sights, et al. Plus its clocked in a different direction, for the better, but you still got those "Libtards in Kayaks, awaiting the Great White"....at least the Panda masks are gone... *** but then how does one replace their memories of climbing out on the SF Giants concrete dugout, hanging my arm & hand down into the dugout for Mays, Marichal, & McCovey's autographs, with not a peep from Security...definitely where I left my heart....
and yes, So. Cal. is way over rated, and has been for 30 years, a shit hole sewer, ... a hand out on every street corner, I'm sick of it, one reason I live out in the desert...
You mean you didn't get the game used bats of Mays and McCovey? The two other M&M boys...? Or did I accidentally send you Tommy Lasorda's soiled (front and back) - "Fruit of the Loom"; soiled when Gibson hit that bomb in game One, in the 88 Series....I may of crossed up orders to their proper destinations...??
