Great game! Another notch in the tool belt showing Doug has a future as a productive (specialized) NBA player. The team played great overall, the last 2 minutes notwithstanding. Detroit is getting killed right now. We should be back in the playoffs after tonight. Need to get that 7 seed and play Toronto in the 1st round.....I think we'd win.
Also, the Kirk Hinrich trade has quietly been a very good one for the Bulls. Holiday is limited but he has a great motor on defense, something we haven't had since Luol Deng left. In fact, Holiday kind of reminds of a poor man's Luol Deng. He plays with a constant chippiness on defense, and has that same awkward-but-aggressive style of play on offense that doesn't win any style points but is passable as a 4th or 5th option. And they both look awkward as shit when they dribble the ball.
Nice to see a road win. Can't lose 'em all. Otherwise you are the Sixers. If the Bulls keep shooting 50% from the field and 90% from the line with < 10 turnovers they should be able to hang in there with most teams.
Great scoring game by McDermott. ESPN credited Gibson with the block on Lowrey, I looked at the last play over and over, Butler stripped Lowrey of the ball.
