12-3, losses to Boston at the end of the 4in5night road trip nightmare and then loses to GSW/SA. I'll be optimistic until i'm angry and drunk.

Disheartening though the recent blowout losses have been, they've done better overall on this stretch than I expected. 2/3 of the way through, and we're treading water so far at 5-5. Need to win at least 2 of the final five to remain above .500 at the end of this run. Should be favored 3/18 in New Orleans and 3/23 hosting Dallas. All I ask are wins in those two games, and I will be quite pleased with their overall results in this grueling part of the schedule.

I would consider this road trip a big success if we can take the last two. I didn't expect them to win at GS or at OKC (or at SA for that matter)... I am bummed they're getting blown out but I wasn't expecting wins. Keep in mind that GS gave us play off game intensity (not to mention pay back) and OKC has been getting a bunch of bad press about losing to bad teams at home so they had something to prove.

I am excited the Blazers are likely going to the play offs and that experience is priceless but, let's be honest, the young Blazers are going to fight hard but they're not beating any of the top 4 seeds.

With the way we're playing I revised my original 15 game prediction.

In alternate universe the Blazers are the defending world champs and are currently undefeated.

And in that same universe I own the team.

You're still an odd duck. That's the one consistent in all the universes.

    Predicted first....actuall after
    • 2/27 @CHI (L) (W) Didn't think CHI would be without 4/5ths of their starting line-up.
    • 2/28 @IND (L) (W) Best win for the Blazers in quite some time...very good game.
    • 3/1 @@NYK (W) (W) It was the Knicks for goodness sake. They are 'Turrible'.
    • 3/2 @BOS (L) (L) Boston is like the POR of the East...overachieving.
    • 3/4 @TOR (L) (L) Other teams with a very good back court are tough for POR because they combine with more up front.
    • 3/6 @DET (W) (L) Thought they would have figured out Reggie Jackson...apparently not.
    • 3/8 WAS (W) (W) Tougher than I thought it would be especially w/o Beal.
    • 3/11 @GSW (L) (L) Easiest prediction of the stretch. Big payback game for GS.
    • 3/12 ORL (W) (W) Since the trade, ORL just doesn't have much.
    • 3/14 @OKC (L) (L) POR has no answer for Westbrook and in the one Blazer win, it too miracles late from Dame.
    • 3/17 @SAS (L) (?) Unless POR turns around how it has been playing against quality opponents, not good.
    • 3/18 @NOP (W) (?)Easist game on the road trip. They will need to win this.
    • 3/20 @DAL (L) (?) 2nd easiest game and DAL hasn't been playing well but tough to beat a team back-to-back.
    • 3/23 DAL (W) (?) Blazers owe DAL from an earlier season meltdown at home.
    • 3/24 @LAC (L) (?) CP3 gives the Blazers fits.
So my prediction was 6-9. Missed some games early. So far, Blazers 5-5 with 5 to play. Nice 3-0 to start but it's been though since then.
