I don't know either, it's all in his damn head, he needs to see a shrink or something lol.......one game he'll go 11/12, and then the next he'll go 4/12...it's all mental when it comes to tim at the free throw line...... he should use the backboard lol

He's wildly inconsistent. I don't know what's up with the streaky numbers at the charity stripe. It's a mystery that can't be solved much like the old tootsie roll commercials.

Its because he doesn't put arch on his shot what so ever. He is also very inconsistent with his motions. Sometimes he bends his knees, and at other times he doesn't. Over the years, his outside game has gotten substantially worse. Even his patten bank shot has decreased a great amount. He has just lost his outside game pretty much...

That's Duncan for you. With age comes slowness over the years. I don't get alot of his missed free throws, but it happens, and it's happening to him alot right now. He's done this in the past. He done it in Game 7 against a crazy good Mavericks team last year in the playoffs, which would have ultimately won us the game (most likely.) Like Ballerman said, he's lost his touch of the shooting game over the years, and it's doubtful he'll get it back at his age, yet some nights he just has "it."

ya the free throw line is definately the weakest part of his game. But I mean how can you even shoot free throws when you stand with your feet pointing together. Whenever he misses a free throw it is usually short because he has no arch, you never really see him swoosh it has to rattle in just to go in. If he could just not stand there with the ball for so long and think about it he might be a decent free throw shooter
