I don't know what it is - but I can sense that something is going to happen soon with a trade. Something to do with Flip Murray, I think.I think something needs to happen - but the Flip Murray issue isn't the only thing that needs to be addressed. To me the Pistons are at the stage where we need one more solid player. It's kinda like how we were before we got Rasheed Wallace. I know this is just a dumb idea - but what if the Pistons could get Ron Artest. I seriously would be all for it. We get a DPOY who is actually a really good player. I know the idea of Ron Ron in detroit is just crazy, but that to me would be huge for the Pistons. Anyways realistically, what are some trades do you think will/or should happen soon? I know something is going down with Flip Murray - his role has gone down, and he got lucky when Chauncey got injured because he was about to totally disappear from the lineup.

I have always wanted Flip Murray in Detroit since he got to Seattle and I just dont think he will be traded. It's way too early and I think he needs a year to get used to this system. He can really be a big-time producer off of this bench. Yes he's struggled, but I think things will be okay for him.as for a trade overall? nah. But Joe D always has something up his sleeve. I think it would only be right to let this season play out. It seems like everyone wants to give up on the Pistons because they have more than 10 losses and Chauncey got hurt. Theres no need to panic.

NO NO NO! Ron Artest? I'd be pissed if he came to Detroit. He would have to start too.

My question are: Who will be willing to trade a good player against Murray? &knowing billups might be gone next season and wallace isn't at his prime anymore...wouldn't it be time to reconstruct the team?

He can be a big-time producer in a starting role with lots of minutes. But he hasn't really done it off the bench. Besides once Hunter and Billups are healthy again, I don't see a ton of minutes being thrown Flip's way. If any Piston is traded it will most likely be Flip, we do have 2 1st round picks next year. Dumars always has something up his sleeve. Ron Artest bad idea for this city and this franchise. Does the brawl come to mind? Besides it we would have to give up someone important to get him.

I can see us throwing some pieces like Flip, Delfino, and the 1st rounders to pick up a good player for us. Joe D probably does have something up his sleeve and I hope it is a move that moves the team into a championship direction.

right now this team has alot of dead weight that needs to go...antonio mcdyess has overstayed his welcome...dale davis is a non issue...flip murray hasnt shown us anything yet, and besides he wont be here next season anyways...we can only hope we pick up chris webber when he comes off waivers...trade wise, I dont know what we could get for what we have to offer

Joe D has been known to have ice-water in his veins and will part ways with anyone if it betters the team. He has also been known to be some-what conservative and unwilling to overpay for guys. There are some very aggressive GMs in the NBA that will always overpay for the right guys. To me that's a big reason we don't see a ton of trades here, and why I can foresee anything of a huge impact happening this season. Maybe giving up a young player or a draft pick for a veteran to solidify a bench role might be realistic, but I don't expect anything else. We're playing well anyways and this team is defenately a contendor.
