I said believe, not want. In this instance, that's two different things. I only said "want" in playoffs.

Do you BELIEVE we will get the championship? Realistically, I mean.

I think for the most part the board is pretty fair with these guys. Now Babbitt and Smith were scrubs and often rightly viewed as such. But Meyers and Crabbe have each shown exciting flashes along with major concerns. Both are obviously worth a roster spot; neither are worth the max, so where do they fit in between? We hope young guys can develop to be starters but the vast majority of them won't.

I think some of the young players are hitting the wall or have hit wall. Lot of these guys haven't play this much until this year. But it a good win an next 2 is really crucial with Dallas.

He just wants the playoffs because it's good enough. Championships are not an option right now

I don't think they are an option for the next few years.... unless Neil can some how full a FA coups. Watching the Spurs play is really disheartening.... actually so is The Clippers, GS, and OKC. It's exactly like watching Barca play with Messi, Neymar and Suarez..... and then you realize there's guys on the bench who can kick your ass. The goal of putting players around Lillard like David and Aminu, isnt cutting it. We have to get a couple of All Star caliber players or things won't change.

Yeah we're clearly a large notch below the Spurs/GS/OKC level contending teams of the league. Maybe we get insanely hot and an opponent chokes, or they have an injury, for one fluke of a series. 8th seeds have won before; similarly we could get some miraculous shocking series win. Unlikely but yeah maybe that's plausible this year or next and it would be fun as heck.

Sadly there's just no way we're putting together multiple playoff series wins. Spurs aren't going downhill any year soon; they're on pace for their best record ever and won with Manu out a month while Duncan is glued to the bench. Its been a surprising fun season; the last few weeks have been sobering though. Neil is gonna need a couple big hit roster moves for us to contend.

You keep the belief that you don't live in a realistic world with every post you produce.
