Look at the poll results, of what percentage support what apologists like to call "extremism". 20% of a billion is scary.

100,000 (maybe) ISIS army takes over a bunch of Syria and Iraq. The people there fled both countries, by the many millions. That's what they think of ISIS.

Freemasons actually start out as you just have to believe in a higher power the first 32degrees are all about being morally superior. It is at the 33rd degree you learn the god you believe in is satan, because the author of confusion is in fact the head of all religions.

Both the Sunni and Shia branches of Islam have and support terrorists groups. Both branches have many divisions creating many sub-branches. Each layer or group “interprets” their religion differently. Some groups are peaceful, others are not.

Here are some of the Islamic backed terrorist groups. Not sure I have all of the terrorist groups classified under the correct branch of Islam? But it is the best I could find.

    Sunni Terrorist groups.....................Shia Terrorist groups
    Al-Qaeda.................................................Hezbollah
    ISIS..........................................................Hamas
    Taliban
    Boko Haram
    Al-Shabab
    Muslim Brotherhood

Feel free to correct any mistakes I made, or add to this list any terrorist groups I may have missed.

Not only that, but if you fold a dollar bill just right, George Washington turns into a mushroom.

I picked one on your list, pretty much at random.

Hezbollah. This is in terms of the size of the militaries on both sides in Syria.

    http://www.washingtoninstitute.org/policy-analysis/view/who-are-the-foreign-fighters-in-syria

    (Sunnis, e.g. ISIS)

On the side of the Sunni Arab rebels, a conservative estimate would place the number of foreigners at 5,000 individuals, while a more liberal estimate could be upward of 10,000. These totals are for the entire conflict, not necessarily how many are currently on the ground there. Many of them have been killed, arrested, or have since returned home.

    (Shiites, e.g. Assad, Iranians, Hezbollah)

The large majority has come from Lebanon and Iraq, but there are also Iranians and others. The total number is at most 10,000. Lebanon's Hezbollah has sent between 3,000 and 5,000 fighters in total, but the number at any given time is lower since they serve on rotating monthly tours. There could be between 3,500 and 4,000 Iraqi Shia fighters, and credible sources speak of 1,000 to 1,500 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) from Iran.

So maybe 20,000 fighting in Syria? 4.6M fled the country, another 6.6M fled ISIS controlled areas to avoid being ruled by them.

    http://www.worldvision.org/news-stories-videos/syria-war-refugee-crisis

    • 13.5 million people in Syria need humanitarian assistance.1
    • Most Syrian refugees remain in the Middle East, in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt; about 10 percent of the refugees have fled to Europe.3

Since the Syrian civil war began, 320,000 people have been killed, including nearly 12,000 children. About 1.5 million people have been wounded or permanently disabled, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.4 The war has become more deadly since foreign powers joined the conflict.

i.e. Sen. Joseph McCarthy. Originator of McCarthyism.

McCarthyism is the practice of making accusations of subversion or treason without proper regard for evidence. It also means "the practice of making unfair allegations or using unfair investigative techniques, especially in order to restrict dissent or political criticism."
