No doubt im more of a traditional role guy. but if were really talking about stretch 4's and being fine with avg D, rebounds, blocks from the PF position, we should just start aminu there and run crabbe at SF.

Yeah I think Aminu is just as good if not better as a 4. We need an upgraded forward; Aminu can help as a role player at either spot. I'm not sure about Crabbe he's there with Dame as the worst defender on the team so I think we need more defense out of a starter.

Just got an alert on my phone that Parsons is likely to undergo season-ending surgery for a torn meniscus. I have a feeling that might change a few opinions around here...

This is what I was saying about chandler. Despite him playing very good ball while he was back, he seems very injury prone and that's a no no in blazer land

Though I wonder if it will sway Cuban from giving him the max.

Is Chandler Parson's one of those with any opt-out clause or is he a straight free agent? If he has opt-out he might not use it now. If he is a free agent he basically has to come off our board but with that injury a team might get him for cheaper than max now.

He has a player option for the 2016-17 season according to Spotrac.

DeRozen is another target, but I think the Raptors will just give him the max. I don't know if he has any reason to want to leave Toronto and come here?

Rumours for a few years that the Lakers want him. He's from Compton. Probably grew up wanting to be a Laker. Toronto will give him the max but the Lakers might be an attractive option for him if he wants to leave. I doubt Portland is on his radar.

That is my view as well and why I thought our best chance was to trade for him last summer. Regardless I never thought we would get Parsons or DeRosan this summer. And I am not that disappointed in it. Not that they aren't both better than what we have at SF
now, but I am just not convinced that either are perfect fits with Dame and CJ. Not sure I want to throw a max at either.

Are DeRozen and Lillard friends though? I can see him not wanting to go to a loser like LA.

If I am the Clippers I trade Blake Griffin for a young player and cap space to make room for DeRosan. I don't think Griffin and Deandre Jordan fit well together. Maybe to Boston?

I think Ryan Anderson would be a nice addition to this team. I just imagine him getting the same looks Meyers and Aminu get. Meyers is hesitant to shoot unless he's like wide wide open, and Aminu is sub-par. Anderson also has a nice mid-range game, gets to the foul line, doesn't foul or commit as many turnovers as Meyers, and is a decent rebounder. I'd take him over Meyers any day.

I think I'd rather offer the max to Horford.

I would be on board with that. He may not be spectacular, but he is solid.

    Shades of Wesley Matthews!

The old guy can yell from the bench in French to Montero about what he's doing wrong. When he's not waving towels to get the crowd loud.

Sure it would've been nice to get DeRozen; but he doesn't come for free. Are you giving up a good asset such as a first round pick? At the time it might've even cost us CJ which many here probably would've done and now would be a disaster.

It didn't make any sense for a rebuilding team to acquire a free agent rental who could walk in a few months shortly after LMA left. Those are moves you make when you have a chance to contend.
