Good to hear! I almost made the jump last night, but I'm moving soon and can switch to FiOS at my new joint... so I think I'll keep Comcrap around a bit longer.

I'm in the same boat. Switching to fios Internet soon, but gonna use ps vue as my new cable because of the month to month. Don't need cable in the summer so don't wanna pay for it.

I was able to watch the walking dead last night dvr style before it aired West coast time, that was nice... There was a bit of small studdering while watching the ducks game.. But not enough to stop watching.

So far my only complaint has been the "Guide" is a bit laggy (note that I am using a PS3 and not a PS4). I did extend from the 7 day free trial to a full month. Also it's not $44.99 it's $34.99 with the sports package, The base package is $24.99.

As a side note, I now have my PS3 running through my XBOX ONE. so I can snap my shows/sports while playing my Xbone.

Heres a link to there plans: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/#4

EDIT: Note that local network channels such as abc, nbc, fox are not broadcasted LIVE. They do however offer on demand for them so you can still watch their shows.

Don't you want to watch the Mariners have a losing record and miss the playoffs for about the 15th year in a row?!?

One of those 20 something dollar antennas you can put on your wall next to a window could solve the local channel problem. I have one of those and can get ABC, Fox, CBS, NBC, several PBS channels, CW, and a channel that simulcasts KGW Blazer games. If I can get that many down here, People in Portland can probably get a lot.

What's better - Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick?
Does anyone know if the TV steam will lag if I am watching TV while my son is playing Xbox live? I have Comcast internet and a good Asus router.

If you're using it through Chromcast then you need iOS, Iphone, or ipad... wont work with android (there is no app support). Not sure about how the Fire stick works. Yesterday I was watching tv while browsing the internet and my roomate was playing a pc game online and my wife was doing some online shopping. I have comcast internet. It will depend on your speed tier and how good your router is.

With 2 kids and my wife, we use our DVRs like CRAZY! In fact none of us watch live TV ever. is this just another option? Like Comcast/Direct/Dish? You can't record anything can you?

Spend the $100 or whatever and get Amazon Fire TV... the stick & Chromecast BOTH suck! Wayyyyyy better performance with the Fire TV vs. any of the others (Roku, AppleTV, etc.).
