Their defensive unit is the weak link, when Girardi skates away from the front of the net to allow an easy tip in it's frustrating since even Hank can't make every save, McDonough has to make decisions quicker, seems like he's thinking in slo-mo. I think this year's playoff team is much better than last year's personnel wise, performance wise we'll see.

Last night was a perfect example of why Yandle could not be moved. McDonagh dosen't have those kinds of offensive abilities to break down a defense. As stated above, he tends to think too much and hold the puck too long.

In the past there were games where I felt the other team had no chance of scoring. Or scoring on the PP. Or controlling play because they were so much slower than the Rangers. I don't see that this year. I see a team that isn't dominate.

what a fucking terrible team...they have fallen big time from last year...went from first overall all the way to ...... #5
all the reading throughout this season you would have thought this team was in the lottery.

    9th overall in goal differential
    6th overall in scoring...
2nd in the league in home wins

    they suck

Sorry but this teams record is not indicative of how they have played. They have won a lot of games where they have been dominated by the other team. They have had so many sloppy wins. Given up a ton of late goals in games. Late goals in periods. They have played very poorly against the top teams. They have been an awful road team. There is a reason some of the best hockey analyst are not mentioning them as a favorite. They don't deserve to be. They abysmal penalty killing is going to be a huge problem in the post season.

But the teams you thought were dominant didnt win a cup, which you have said over and over is all that matters when judging success. So if you were wrong about how dominant those teams were, why are you so positively, unbelievably certain you arent wrong again when you talk about how this team has no chance?

Nobody here is saying they WILL win the cup but it's baffling how many people are saying they WONT win the cup.
