Everest was beautiful to look at otherwise.....whatever. Was I supposed to care when they died?

I think you mean "Revenant". I haven't seen that one. But I have seen THIS one can can thoroughly recommend it:

Who wouldn't want to see a guy who's had his eyelids chewed off by fish?

Here's a movie I've seen recently that could easily be shown in a triple bill with The Grey and the (more recent) Revenant:

It has some of the most amazing cinematography I've ever seen. In any film. Ever.

Not a movie but just finished the second season of Happy Valley on Netflix. It's a really good British cop show, more for a mature audience but really well done. Watch it with the CC on because it's very British.

Daredevil, Season 2, Episode 3, that is an amazing fight scene done in one continuous take. Beautiful camera work and staging.

I watched The Big Short a few days ago. I thought it was good, but not as good as I was expecting based on what I heard about it.

Okay guys, I'm pretty much a Superman fanboy and I really liked Man of Steel. Now that I've got that disclaimer out of the way, Batman v Superman is my favorite superhero movie ever. I loved every minute of it and I can't wait to see it again. If you were interested in seeing it but the poor reviews from critics dissuaded you, I beg you to see the movie and form your own opinion on it.

I was wondering what you'd think. I read probably 50 user reviews on rotten tomatoes last night and get the sense the movie is way better than it's critic score suggests.

I definitely think it is. I legitimately can't understand it's awful rating on RT when every single Marvel Studios movie has at least 60%. They have had a couple stinkers for sure..

Bought Pacific Rim 3d bluray. I remember thinking the movie was ok when I saw it before, but 3d on a 135 inch screen was amazing.

Saw a very good movie last night called City of Gold. For you foodies out there, or other ex-Angelenos like me, you would like it.

Kind of want to re-watch V for Vendetta. I've only seen it once a while back, but I own it on Blu-Ray, just haven't gotten around to watching it again, yet.
