Right now Hield is harder to defend. He has "vet" moves. It is almost like playing against an nba player with his tricks and experience. Ingram will probably be better in the long run though, but he is still pretty young and inexperienced.
That was a pretty entertaining game as college hoops go. I admit to being fairly indifferent until the Pac12 tourney and March Madness, but these Ducks are a fairly complete package and play with a lot of smarts and style. I dig it. I'd be ecstatic if they make the Final Four. Just nice to see something to get excited about besides the football program.
I guess what I'm trying to say is it's nice to see the basketball program have its day in the sun. (and hopefully many more if they advance even further) Duck football fans are spoiled rotten now.
Ingram is more unique and talented but Hield is the best college player in the country by far. It's like last years Kaminsky vs KAT/Okafor.
I agree but I've always been a Ducks basketball fan first. Playing with big time football is like heroin in Eugene and trying to compete with USC, UCLA and even Stanford in recruiting is a fools game.
Yes, we have been a bit spoiled. No championships, but some opportunities. And most teams don't get that. I expected a down season after mariota left. We'll be back. It is great to see the bball team step up. I thought we had momentum during the Lukes Era, but Kent just couldn't keep the program growing. I like what Dana has been doing, and think it bodes well for the future.
The Lakers are going to get either Simmons or Ingram.... F*** Both could end up being outstanding players.
