http://portlandtribune.com/pt/12-sports/298843-176123-will-csn-blazers-reach-new-deal Going to Root sports would make a lot of fans happy, going back to CSN would probably piss a lot of people off, again.
the only way the Blazers should go back to CSN, is if they 100% guarantee they will have signed with Dish and Direct BEFORE the Blazers sign on the dotted line.
If they want to have a deal done by this summer, you would think we would hear some news on that front soon.
They will resign with comcast. Nobody else will offer them nearly the same amount of money. Buy a amazon fire tv, and subscribe to Playstation vue to watch the games next season.
Modern sports cable deals screw the modern fan over so bad. Don't have the right provider..... try the Net with the right VPN with the right plug in..... blah blah blah. God forbid they provide their programming to the widest possible audience!
You don't need PlayStation Vue to watch NBA games. You just download the free NBA App and use NBA League Pass. But none of this helps people who live near Portland since NBA League Pass is blacked out there, PlayStation Vue or not.
I believe it's 34.99 a month on a month to month plan. No idea if it works in albany. It works in the Portland metro area.
The Blazers should write in something to the agreement so games have to be available to purchase by streaming. Comcast can even charge $x a month for only Blazer games or charge $5 a game or whatever but it needs to be available to all Portlanders. Cable is dieing anyways none of the target age demographic are signing up for cable. What Comcast should do to help their cable business is have the games in 4k only for comcast subscribers but have HD streaming for everyone else.
Mistake? I guess we have a different definition of mistake. Filling your pockets with BY FAR the most money is not a mistake.
It is a mistake, because it created a new generation of fans who aren't being exposed to the team on a regular basis. It's all but killed my brother, my dad, my cousin and all my (local) niece and nephews interests in the team. out of $ight, out of mind.
Honestly, it's hard to meet people who grew up in Oregon anymore. Most of them come from cali, but I've met a few that love going to the blazer games and share love for the Lakers and blazers. It's happening fams. A new breed of laker/blazer fan
