But the NBA was better back then. The refs let things slide more, so it was a more physical game. All the teams were more leveled out with talent. A lot of the superstars of today that are leaving their prime soon (Iverson, KG, T-Mac, Pierce, etc) were just really getting going or right in the heart of their prime. But you are right. Watching old games, even if it's only 4-5 years ago, the games seem better. They seem more intense and they seem very passionate. It's not like that anymore. It's either a foul or a technical now. I never liked his shot selection but I thought him and pierce were a perfect duo.

Look at him now, God, I love the guy, but he's out of shape, and playing badly with a big contract.
