Google’s high-end, seven-piece Nik Collection of photo editing software is now free for all. The company announced in a statement Thursday that it is no longer charging for the collection — comprised of seven desktop plug-ins that allow users to add filters to images, retouch them and more. It previously sold for $149.

“We’re excited to bring the powerful photo editing tools once only used by professionals to even more people now,” Google said in its announcement.

“As we continue to focus our long-term investments in building incredible photo editing tools for mobile… we’ve decided to make the Nik Collection desktop suite available for free, so that now anyone can use it.”

Anyone who bought the software this year can expect to see a refund in the coming days, according to Google. The Nik Collection includes seven desktop plug-ins: Analog Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro, Silver Efex Pro, Viveza, HDR Efex Pro, Sharpener Pro and Dfine. The collection is available online for download.

In 2013, the company dropped the price of the then-six part Nik Collection from $499.95 to $149, The Verge reported.

    Anyone ever use this?

Apparently not since they are forced to give it away now.

If you don't want to pay for Photoshop you should try Gimp.

I have Photoshop and Gimp. I prefer PaintShop Pro. It has the functions to handle nautical charts. Better all around image editor anyway.
Had to take Photoshop off my computers because it interfered with PaintShop Pro which will not work with Nautical chart.

I have their version but the one I use was Jacs PaintShop Pro. I participated in the beta test of the product, geez 9, 10 years ago now, before they sold it to Corel.
The Corel version screws up some of the chart processing so I still use Jacs version 9. I had them fix about 50 or more bugs in handling Charts.
I think I will keep it.

Just pull on it until it stretches out a bit. Basically be a self fluffer. If you still need to edit it just forget the dick pics and leave it be.
