Reject the deal? What does that mean? It certainly does not mean "the RNC can choose to allow guns at the convention". I guess it means "the RNC can choose not to have a convention". So yes, the RNC can reject the deal. Just like I can 'reject' paying income taxes by not having any income. barfo
Exactly what I said. The republicans are putting everyone there at risk if they choose for the convention to remain there.
In any case, I agree with you. The RNC is not about to allow guns in the convention. Because they know that would be very dangerous, even though they can't admit that. barfo
They can choose another venue. I'm constantly amazed at how the obvious escapes you. From this issue to economics to the importance of the constitution.
Breaking deals is also so American. A lot of people have been screwed because they made a deal with the secret service.
Huh? You think the secret service won't allow guns at Quicken Loan Arena, but would at, say, the Moda Center? barfo
So forget for a second that there is no way the secret service would allow carry at the convention, do you really think that it would be a good idea to allow everyone to carry at this event?
I mean, I have firearms, and carry permits in OR and WA, but I would never go to such a ticking time bomb of an event with the likelihood of thousands of people feeling pissed off and disenfranchised if I knew that many of them were carrying. No fucking way! And, if I were a candidate, no damned way I would go to the convention either with packing masses.
I think you'd be an idiot to open carry at an event like that. The secret service will blow you away if they even think you are a threat. The reason I know this petition is a hoax is people who conceal carry arent generally your brandish the firearm to prove a point crowd. They are smart and you would never know they are carrying until a real threat arose. Ill answer your question with a two part question, say people could carry and trump ended up getting shot, what are the odds the bullet came from a gun registered to the shooter, and was the shooter a democrat?
Well, I would say the gun would most likely not come from a Dem, but from a religious nutcase. But that's not what I was asking. You basically agree that it would be a bad idea to let something like this happen. You know, regardless of if its from the left or the right, having carry at a convention would be dangerous.
Absolutely. It's the main reason half of Republicans aren't Democrats, and it's the main reason Trump is crushing party favorite Cruz. Neither party has sufficiently defended the 2nd Amendment since President Eisenhower publicly exposed the MIC's silent coup in 1961. The Dems are trying to completely rescind it while the Reps have done very little to defend it. While the petition was obviously started by the DNC to hopefully (their view) cause deaths and violence they can blame Trump for, it has already backfired on them by bringing the 2nd Amendment issue to the forefront. This highlights the Dems attempts to further enslave the populace and shows Trump to be once again the standard-bearer for Freedom and Equality for all Americans.
Roughly 75% of all gun crimes are committed by registered Democrats or people who are substantially supported by their social assistance programs. "Religious nutcases" tend to be extremely law-abiding, somewhat solitary folks, who rely on their chosen daddyinthesky to exact retribution from evildoers in the afterlife.
Either way, the DNC/RNC/Wallstreet/MIC will make sure there is massive violence at the convention. The fix is in for Hillary.
