    And as a huge fan of both teams the Giants are proving that its not only drafting the right players but actually giving them a chance to play.........

    The entire STARTING infield are ALL homegrown.

    1B = Brandon Belt (27) 5th rd pick 2009
    2B = Joe Panik (25) 1st rd 29th pick 2011
    SS = Brandon Crawford (29) 4th rd pick 2008
    3B = Matt Duffy (25) 18th rd pick 2012

    C = Buster Posey 1st rd 5th pick 2008

    P = Madison Bumgarner (26) 1st round 5th pick 2007

    I'm really hoping going forward that once the Yankees unload all the big contracts that they could follow the same blue prints as the Giants.

    ...being Yankee fans, it's easy for us to over-hype prospects and envision them as "the future"...but the simple fact of the matter is that the Yanx have done a piss poor job of drafting and developing young talent under Cashman's tenure.
    ...as far as position players, the only one drafted by Cashman that turned out to be a solid and consistent impact player was Cano.

    FWIW: I've also got a good feeling about Bird.

    Yanks should also have some balls like the Braves. They cut Swish even though it'll cost the $15M.

    Saw that, and Yep, Hank should of paid CC to sit at home, or play somewhere else on His dime. The Guggy Grandson Investment group, spent 100 Million last year, on Players who either sat at home, or played for another Team on the Bums dime ....

    Addition by Subtraction, ...

    Hank signed plenty of dumb ass long term contracts. Just watched "The House of Steinbrenner" on NetFlix, a GREAT Documentary, and Yes, Hank is more of an idiot than the arrogant dumb fk is given credit for.... pompous, grinning with each dumbfkng signing .... should of cut 1/2 Hank's stupid rambling nonsensical comments; for a boy scout ...
