I agree. However, it still is an issue to consider. It's not as easy as people make it sound. Especially when people would blame the gov't for it.

 

i can definitely see the insurance companies playing on peoples sympathies for the workers.

 

Hey at least those dirty asshole insurance workers would have govt mandated healthcare when they lose their jobs! That's all that matters after all.

 

There is still private insurance in those countries as well. Think of all the employees that we would add in the healthcare industry. Lots of those insurance industry jobs transfer over. The insurance industry has too many jobs anyway. I don't see anybody arguing that we need as many lawyers as we have.

 

Hold on good sir... So, when these workers transfer over they work for the govt correct? Well, that's another cost on the people's dime, is it not?

 

To be honest I don't much care about insurance industry jobs. I care more about the people that are dying because we're continuing to use that middle man cartel.

 

The government is responsible for a lot of the problems this "middle man cartel" created though.
