Wow, and I thought Sly and the Family Stone were not around anymore..... a true honor to meet ya' Sly....:tiphat: Can you dial up some funkadelic muzak....? Put on the Platforms; Or- "put on your red shoes and sing the blues"....

Personally it makes no difference to me, either way is fine with me....The sub-topic forum you provided the URL looks good, but either way is fine with moi...

Thanks for coming to our nightmare...

One last thought to the other members of this board; with a sub-topic forum, we can concentrate on the Yanx and Baseball only, without OT issues being laced in between (b/t)....

yet, again makes no diff to me....I'm just happy to be a part of something we've been doing first on BSPN, now Sports2... RE2PECT...

...SPD...read a lot of your stuff...you've got quite a reputation. In fact, the Blazers' board has quite a few "characters".

...a sub-forum might work here, but then again, we seldom stay on topic around here, even when it's labeled "off topic"....lol.

That has to be the most polite way someone has ever called me an asshole before. Thank you.

Yes, we have quite a few "characters" but it appears there are few here too.

BTW, I might live in Oregon but I am a life long Yankees fan. Got it from my dad who has been a Yankees fan since he was a boy in Cuba. (Long story short, my dad's family is Hungarian who left for the US before the start of WWII, their ship got turned away so it went to Cuba. His family then moved to Venezuela when the communist revolution started in Cuba. My dad legally immigrated to the US when he was 21yrs old, joined the military and became a citizen. Just thought I would share, lol.)

It's hilarious wearing Yankee gear in the land of the Mariners.

...Ha !...not my intention but seeing as I'm a card carrying asshole myself, your point is taken...I'm usually right, occasionally wrong, but I'm never in doubt.

That is a cool story SPD. I've read of numerous Pan-Am players, first being Clemente, one grows up dreaming of playing for either the NY Yankees, or Doyers.

Out here standing ones ground as a Yanx fan, one gets it from both sides, ie hate 'em Halo Fans, or- remnants of Left Coast Bums Fans, who also hate the Yankee Faithful. LA Fans are fair weathered fans, an eminent front of local megalopolis sports fans.

Thankfully, there is also as equal a populace of harder core fans, who are Yankee die-hards, from the day we're born.

A ton of "snow birds" landed on the Left Coast vs F-L-A. Just 3 months ago, I got a new R.N., who was raised from birth in the shadows of Yankee Stadium. In H.S. not even a mile away, or elsewhere in the Bronx, the one constant site-always-YS. Great stories this Spaniard Cubano Bronx Girl tells, or tales...great to hear a local from the area debate 'what makes for a great Philly Cheesesteak", as intense with foods as baseball....like 59 and His Cheetos, watch out for the telepathic thing he's got going on; just a 10+ mins...? South of Eden aka Perrydise ... I swear his mind control brings out the true You, like Carl Spackler...

PS: Maternal Grandparents lived in greater Seattle in the 60s-71, just in time to see one Pilots game, with a high school alumni home town boy on the mound... loved it up there in M's land...

It Had to of been real interesting, in the late 90s being a Yanx fan in M's land; during the Pinella era...

NBA- Celtics, Warriors, ??? (how can one not pull for Curry and Co.
    NFL- Giants, Jets

No NHL, not even when the Rangers are in the SC Playoffs, I can hear it, what is the SC,??? "Stanley Cup"

No Badmitton, no Volleyball or Tennis, ???, Ah I got you now, are you a supporter of "The Lingerie Football League...? :devilwink:

    YZZZZZZZZZ.jpg :mooning:

Okay lets lay this out, First I don't follow hockey, Now MLB yeah the Yankees & Giants. In the NFL its only the Giants BUT.........I will watch the Jets & Packers if there are no other games on. And in the NBA its ONLY the Celtics.

And I'll watch Jeanette Lee if there's a 9 ball tournament on.

That'd be 5 Teams, and one hot 9 ball player, ... No 'Snooker'..?

I'm happy for Donnie BB, heading to Miami, a team I enjoy watching on a fairly regular basis, often a thrill to watch, Gordon, Stanton (Mantle-esque); Fernandez, et al.

I'll still watch Bums, Halos games, since most Yanks games precede both, got to see Kershaw, Seager, Pedereson, FK Piggy puig, Trout, Pujols, and now Andrelton Simmons, what a fkng steal by the Halos, IMO, one that made Trashman look clueless.

I believe strongly, this is the Year for the SF Giants, (even year), to take back the NL West, I don't see the Bums doing it. The D'backs will be a joke, I hope Greinke eats shit, as the lone stand out, along Goldie...

The Stros, I've got to watch, with their A+ Affiliate here in town, busting off 3 CA. Lg. Championships, out of 4 appearances, in the last 5 years. The years of being a horrible team, left them with all those #1 draft picks, and they did well in the draft, IMO.
All those kids rolled through town here: Altuve, Correa, Springer, Keuchel ...with Nolan being here in town, for a few days, in the last couple of years; in stealth mode. With both Farm & Scout Directors reporting to Him. Nolan - as a "hands on" VP, gets familiar with, but not micro-managing either. "Player Development" and "Prospect Farming"...Nolan has been a winner over 6 decades, as a player, admin, et al., how can one NOT follow this, esp when its in your own backyard...???

Correa, out of 293 PA, with a .325 avg, .414 OBP, had 81 hits, 28 of those being 6 HR's, 6 triples, 16 doubles, 57 ribbies, with 20 stolen bases, 1/4 of times on base, had a SB. Henderson like numbers, yet he's no Ricky, never will be.
Keuchel threw 3 complete games, in 18 GS, gave up 10 HR's in 129 IP, a high .385 ERA nothing spectacular.
Springer and Correa tore the league up, moreso than the Jose and Keuchel.

Ok, I won't fault you or judge you over not being a Hockey Fan, Sacre bleu: translated- (damn it)...

What, no Warriors games on there??? Did you see your Celtics end the GSW's 54 game home winning streak...?

I bet you play a pretty good game of 8 ball. My old man played 'snoooker' from the day he was old enough to hold a pool cue. 'Bout 30 years ago, I took my old man out with a buddy and His Dad, to play pool. 1st mistake was not the double numbered Pitchers of Beer consumed, but letting him "bust" the first shot off, ... 3 times in a row, (winner breaks), he ran the table, and His first words, once we got our table, was: "Shit, I haven't played a game of pool in 25 years". Good thing he hadn't kept sharp over the years, otherwise we'd of spent the night, watching him run the table...

btw- I think the Lingerie Lg is a total fkng farce, for horny men. Not to be taken seriously...

8 ball is an easy game & always fun but the real challenge is in 9 ball because not only do you have to play rotation but there's a great deal of position & strategy that goes into the game. And to be a good 9 ball player you need to learn how to use the proper English on a ball. And use the rails correctly.
