Chuck, stop putting your positive spins after each brutal loss. Just accept that the team does not have it this year. Dump and others told you during the season that this team is done. They had their run.

The team is playing horrible Past few games but this board is comical as usual when the team doesn't play well. Now they might not get in. Or won't win a game or a round. Just like most fans that quit down 3-1 to Caps.

Team has been very inconsistent but saying they won't win a playoff round based on the past couple games is so typical of the over reaction on this board.

And yes that 5 on 3 was not only pathetic Chuck it was predictable.

He was out there and they did nothing. I think Yandle needs to shoot more. The Rangers as a whole have too many guys that look pass first and second and third. We have all said that for a long time. Even late there were a few chances to get the puck towards the goal with traffic in front, and they look to pass. All I know is that PP was awful.

Yes...you guys told us the past 3 seasons Step...and as I said earlier this week you guys might finally be right...take a bow...LOL. Sure it feels good.

Disturbed, I dont know how can any true hockey fan can say that this team can win a round in the playoffs. My lord. How can they turn around 180 in like two weeks. It does not happen, man.

For sure anything can happen Dis...I am with you all the way. But we all have to be honest and fair at this point and say we need to do pretty much a 180 from most of what we have seen the past couple of months.

Look...we know it is in there, but the lapses and poor play in our own zone have gone on all season. I remain hopeful we can flip a switch game 1 at Pitt, but with each passing game it becomes less likely.

Cannot give up because this team has done too much to bail and act as if there is no hope...but we need to really flip that switch to get it done, because the way we have played for a long time we will be a big underdog against the Pens.

    Cannot give up though...

I just want to get to the playoffs and see how the team responds. And yes they will make the playoffs. I agree it's not looking good right now.

You talk in absolutes Step...you need to stop it. How the F do you know. I agree they need to do a 180 to make a run AND I agree right now the Pens would be a clear favorite, but you act as if it is done why even play the series.

How can a true hockey fan say this team can win a round...that is laughable. Like Prod said...go play the lotto bro since you can see the future.

And again I agree with a lot of what you are saying, going to need a 180 and to flip a switch to make a run or even win round 1, but stop acting as if anyone who says they can do it and doesn't bail on the team and doesn't say absolutely no shot this team can win a round, is an idiot.

I think this sums it up. Doesn't look good. Wouldn't bet on us. But get in and we'll see how it plays out game 1 at Pitt.

Just clinch a spot(finally), stay healthy and work on some special teams stuff and go from there. They definately have the experience of playoff hockey to utilize.

This core of players has won more playoff rounds then anyone but the Kings or Hawks past few years. This teams core is resilient even if it doesn't look like it now

Hope Eric Staal is ok, that was a little scary. I wouldn't bet against the Isles game deciding who plays Wash.

I'll just try to put a positive spin on things. If anything is going to jolt this team back it is crap performances like the past two games. Maybe that will wake us up.

And I absolutely will bet against that 71. The Flyers play the Pens twice. They also play at the Isles and at the Wings. So these other teams will lose points as well. I don't see the Rangers finishing 8th. You want to tell me things totally fall apart and we somehow finish 7th...okay maybe but still very small chance IMO...but I cannot see us finishing 8th.

    I'd love 7th right now.

Florida - talented but tons of youth

    Or

TB - No Stamkos No Strahlman

Oh ok that's my error, i was assuming the metro wc team would automatically play the metro winner.

Both WC teams most likely coming from the Met, so that couldn't happen anyway, but the lower WC plays the Caps and the higher WC plays the Atlantic winner.

And I agree Dis...7th is the spot and get into the Atlantic bracket...avoid Caps and Pens until ECF. Still think the Isles get that spot, but if the Flyers find a way to win at the Pens tomorrow night anything can happen.

What I meant by "how can a true hockey fan say this team win a playoff round" is if you watched this team's play all season. Based on the season's play, the team as whole and the coach does not have it this year. You said it yourself, they haven't gotten their shit together by this point. It is ok, keep hoping. All is good.

Retool the roster in the offseason and maybe AV will decide to actually coach again and adjust his system during the offseason. As everyone and their mother have figured him out.
