There was some kinda rally or something here in the PHX area, and people were burning Mexican flags in protest, I assume to illegal immigration. Now, I'm not for it, because I know some legal Mexicans and like them, and I'm sure they're quite insulted. On the other hand, these illegals are really pissing me off. Just fu*kin stay in your own country and find your own ways to improve your damn economy, like the founders of this country did.

I'm against burning any nations flags, but I do find it humors that someone elses flag is getting burned instead of the US flag.

The situation in Mexico is pretty terrible and pretty much will never be fixed. To say that they should just fix it is pretty stupid.
Yeah I think buring of a flag is just on an other level of disrespect. Some people complain about mexicans.. But they have jobs that none of us would wanna do anyway.

I don't have anything against Mexicans. I do have something against Mexicans jumping our fences. Come in here legally or don't come in at all. I am getting sick and tired of the problems they are bringing in. I am also getting tired of them sneaking in here and then acting like they have some kind of rights, like this is their country or something- come in here legally and then we can talk. I am also getting sick of them forcing us to learn spanish. Damnit- we shouldn't have to learn new languages to be able to talk in our own country. I haven't left this place for a reason. Learn English if you are going to live here and quit making me have to learn other things, like spanish. This part was just an on-the-side complaint.
Wow, just reading this and the "Teachers are Overpayed" thread made me find out why S2S is unanimously hated by the members of BBW. If u were living in a situation as bad as Mexico and u had a family, u wouldnt try to sneak into Ameria and give yourself and your kids a better life? U rather have your kids starve and suffer instead of actually having a future?Back on topic, burning flags is disrespectful and shouldnt be done. Its not their fault they are immigrating, the government has to take care of that situation.
No I wouldn't blame them. I just don't like it.I figured someone would bring up Indians. They weren't a unified country, that's different.

U rather have your kids starve and suffer instead of actually having a future?</div>Here is the problem, they are doing it illegally. Which means against the law. The women come in here and have a kid so now we can't kick them out. They come to America and then pretend they are still in Mexico. If you are going to come to America you are an American now and must act like so. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying you can't keep your old traditions and culture, because you can, that is the great thing about America, it is rich with culture. But these Mexicans (the illegal ones) most of them have no respect for this country, they are just here for a better life, they are using this country. They try and make Mexico in America and that is what I hate. Because of all these illegal immigrants jumping the boarder and swimming up stream, we have to put up a bunch of signs in both English and Spanish (which by the way is costing the legal citizens money). Health care goes up for legal citizens. Those illegal immigrants get out of many things that citizens must do, like taxes. If they want to come here, they need to learn English, but no, they want to speak strictly spanish. Illegal immigrants are all over the place, even in Ohio, where I live. In fact, a house caught on fire today and this woman called my mom's work. My mom answered the phone like she would normally (people use that phone to call the business she works for) and this woman on the other end kept talking in spanish. She would ask every now and then "No habla espanol?" and my mom (who assumed that means something about talking in spanish, which it does) would say she can't speak spanish. Then the woman said "blah blah blah Carmen?" and my mom went and gave the phone to a fellow employee who speaks spanish named Carmen. She helps a lot of immigrants who speak spanish (including illegal ones), she is pretty cool. Anyways, the lady was calling Carmen because it was her house that caught on fire. There were a bunch of them that live in the house and when the fire department came, they couldn't talk to anyone because they all spoke spanish and nothing else, so they had to call Carmen who can speak English.Did you hear about the kid that got kicked off a bus because the kid couldn't speak Spanish? It was a bus for only spanish speaking kids and the kid got on to go to the same school and the bus driver told the kid that he/she couldn't ever ride the bus again, due to the fact the kid can only speak English, IN AMERICA DAMNIT!Did you hear about how Toy's R Us had a contest and all you had to do was have the first baby born in America on the new year. Well, these Chinese people won, the thing is, they are illegal immigrants but they did the "have a baby trick" and so they can't be kicked out because of the retarded rule. Anyways, Toy's R Us said they weren't going to give them the prize because they aren't legal citizens, they gave it to two other people instead. Those illegal immigrants are sueing Toy's R Us. The guy that helped OJ Simpson, and who is a friend of his, is helping the illegal immigrants sue.Your telling me your ok with this? I mean, I have nothing against you, it is just the fact that our government isn't doing anything about this and the fact that people have to work to get into this country legally, and these Mexicans and other people are just coming in here like they are some body special and don't need to follow the rules, then they are ruining our country by making it half Mexico, those facts piss me off and I get pretty mad about this topic.

Well oK then. Just as the Indians were outraged and it happened anyway, I and many others are outraged and this is happening anyway.
first off, Im Mexican (born in the US though), and just the thought of the Mexican flag being burnt is as bad as the thought of the US flag getting burnt. NO respect whatsoever from whoever did that.about Mexico's corruption and stuff, and reasons for coming over here: Well, have you been to Mexico? Sure, they make it look halfway decent on TV and magazines and whatnot, but if you dig deep inside, you will find a hellhole like no other. Corruption is the way of government life down there. On a recent trip to Mexico (by car), we were stopped at a regular checkpoint for drugs, It just so happened that the dude who was supposed to be checking us wanted us to pay him a "tax". If we didnt pay him a tax, he wouldnt let us leave. wtf? tax?? there is no tax at those checkpoints. My dad luckily thought on his feet and asked for his badge and for the number to the central office, so he could call and check on this so called "tax". Old dude got scared and said that he'd be nice and let us go w/o us having to pay the tax. Corruption. This is just a small example of it. But this corruption goes all the way up to the top. People are afraid of the government sometimes and its just not a very nice place to live when this kind of stuff is going on. Again, this is just a small example of it, imagine the people who go through this every day. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Ginger Jesus @ Jan 9 2007, 10:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>There was some kinda rally or something here in the PHX area, and people were burning Mexican flags in protest, I assume to illegal immigration. Now, I'm not for it, because I know some legal Mexicans and like them, and I'm sure they're quite insulted.
