I hear you...with that said I don't think anyone is saying this team will win a round. I do think what guys like me, Dis, Prod, and Mess are saying is yeah we need to do a 180 from what we have seen, but I won't go in saying no shot. Things happen in the NHL playoffs. Is it likely...hell no at this point, but I won't act like it is a done deal. If this was the NBA...yes. Not in the NHL playoffs. You drop that puck game 1 at Pitt and hope for the best. Pitt is no unbeatable juggernaut that's for sure. So let's see how it ends up.
This team can definately make it well into the spring, but both areas of special teams need to be better, they need Nash and Staal to step up and the net coverage obviously goes without saying. We'll see.
