This probably isn't as respected as it should be in the West this year.

Yes, everyone is aware of what happened. Think that happens twice in a row after them not losing at home all year?

I want Portland to win but sometimes the bigger picture is important. 'Pop' is a HoF coach because of that ability.

And some how telling the players to intentionally lose will get you rings?

Again, that makes no sense. Learning to win, learning to work together, to achieving a goal, is more important.

You want 15 players to lose to gain a draft pick for a player that has just as good a chance at being a bust as they do being a meaningful contributor. We're gaining far more by having these 15 players work together, fight together, and exceed all reasonable expectations.

You're trying so hard to shit all over the success of this season but the reasons you're giving for doing it makes no sense.

Golden State has multiple injuries and is not playing as they were earlier this season. Now that the streak is over I could actually see them having a let down game.

I'm the one who created threads questioning Stotts overworking our stars. At this point in the season the damage is done sitting one game doesn't make a difference.

Rest needs to be taken throughout the year. Once their out of gas its too late. Dame won't fully recover until the summer.

With all the losing the 76ers have done these last few season they will be guaranteed champions next year.

But it would give him a chance to rest his barking ankles. He has turned both of them recently. Best to pick your battles as well as possible.

Spurs lost in first round last year. Like I said, we have a ton of rest coming up. Look at THAT big picture.

Lol we broke our three point record with 5 games to go... With less "legit" three point shooters than we had last season.

Thats actually the end of a players prime; starting the decline, based on PER of all star level players.

We have a ton of rest coming up. Come playoffs, we will be the most rested team in the league. Look at the schedules.

    A few things:

    You're*

You do realize the SECOND year is only the YEAR after the one YOU want the ring for. So RINGS as you say would also happen in the second year. How is that bad? I mean, I want to expect that you use your brain, but you make me doubt that with every post of ignorance and complete dis-regard to common sense you make.

Picks are participation awards. Remember that.

And we ain't getting a ring next year. LOL no mid-round pick is gonna do that in a year.

Tell me this: Does the person we get with the mid-round pick (or the person we trade for that pick) Gonna make us WIN next year. The answer is no.

And here I thought you were pragmatic, but you are just as delusional as the fans you try to troll.

    You'll learn some day. Maybe.

Look, I know you're mad the blazers are winning. I know you hate when the team is doing good. I understand that you only enjoy it when it rains, and that anything positive is a horrible experience for you. If you need a hug I can offer that for you. It's hard for you, knowing you have been wrong all year...

    Someday... Someday...

Quite the different scenario as you know. Spurs were forced to play a very good Clipper team because Portland was bumped to 4th when their record was only good for 6th. Also, the Spurs have won 5 Titles so I'd say that is the BIGGER picture versus just one season's anomaly which the league addressed so it doesn't happen again.

Pop doesn't sit players one time after 77 games of a season. He manages minutes throughout the entire year; monitors fatigue, recovery, strength for the whole season. It's too late at at this point for one game to make a difference.

Spurs choked last year. If they had beaten Pelicans on the last day of the season, they would've been 2 seed and might've won it all.

When you have 2 turned ankles, it certainly helps more than it hurts.

Players can still have excellent seasons at age 28+. But on average its not their peak seasons.

You guys are forgetting Duncan is much older than Dame. When Duncan was Dame's age, he played all 82 fucking games. In fact, from 2000 to 2003, he only missed one game.
