For like the last 2 weeks I've been watching it none-stop on ESPN TV. I love the passion, heart, physical play and emotion...it's really the best basketball out there...it's everything the NBA isn't...100% effort, 100% teamplay...I love it...I can't believe it's taken me this long to notice it. I would much rather sit down and watch a NCAA basketball game than an NBA game...sure the play might not be as 'good'...but my thing is toughness and passion...and it pours from these guys during games...they put it all on the line and aren't getting paid millions of dollars...they are allowed to play physical and fouls are less. Sit me down with some popcorn and Dickie V. and I'm set. :dribble:
Yeah, I really love the college atmopshere as well. The fans are more passionate as are the players and players. Back when I was in high school(two years ago) I used to watch a ton of college ball. Our coach would invite us to his house and we'd eat and watch games. He'd also tape them and we would watch them on the bus. The play is much better like you said as far as teamwork, fundamentals, and exactution. Reason I started watching NBA more is due to the real rise of the Mavs. I really dont have a favourite college team, but rather favourite coaches and players. I enjoy Bobby Knight, Roy Williams, Coach K, and pretty much every ACC team since ESPN shows thier games all the time. What I also love is that you dont have to be super athletic to play. You just have to play 100% and smart. Look at players like Mike Gansy,Kevin Pittsnogle, Chris Quinn, Jerrry McNamera, etc. They all have great college careers, but probably wont ever translate to the professional game due to thier lack of athletic ability. They will though become great teachers of the game since they have played under some great coaches.
College basketball is my favorite sport to watch because most players are playing for the love and passion of the game and for pride. Some play to improve and get in the pros, but for the most part kids play for their team, not themselves because most of them won't make the pros. Look at all the cinderella teams in March Madness every single year. They are so devoted to winning it is unbelievable. March Madness is easily the best playoff in sports. Every single year there are teams that surprise everybody and get into the sweet sixteen if not farther. I love the announcing, the hard play, the feeling of your team winning, and most of all the love for the game they show.I have ESPN + also to watch UConn, Ok St., and any other good game that is on.
I also like college basketball way too much. So much more exciting than the professional basketball. The atmostphere at some of those games during the regular season is like.. better than the NBA finals.
What amazes me about college ball is the crowd .. there truely great, so passionite soo everything it's just great to witness.Id say that's one of the things that I enjoy while watching it.
College basketball is great. All the reasons for my love of the game have already been mentioned, but I'll say them anyway: 1. The energy from the crowd is amazing, and for ALL 40 minutes. 2. Passion/heart 3. Physical play 4. It's all about the team, not about "getting mines" like half the NBA player think 5. Is it just me, or does college basketball have more huge comebacks, game winning shots, or games decided by 3 points or less in one season than the NBA has in 3 years? 6. I love watching the young stars, who are getting ready to make the big jump to the pros. 7. There is actually DEFENSE. College basketball is great, I love it. Any basketball fan that does like college ball doesn't appreciate the real game of basketball.

Anyways, I also like the game itself better than the NBA. But not as many people talk about NCAA here as they do NBA. Also, you are just excited because Wisconsin beat the Buckeyes. CB32 also had some great points.
