Interesting study. It only took 71 players, and it also only looked at Hall of Famers, MVPs and Superstars.

I've posted this previously, but I looked at every NBA player that played more than 96 minutes per season between 2001 and 2015 and used PER as a basis of measurement of productivity -

    PerAge.jpg
I found that age 26 (as of Feb 1) is the most productive year (14.14 PER) of a typical NBA player. Their productivity remains strong thru age 28 (PER 13.97). Age 29 is the 'drop off' age (PER 13.48). After that we see a pretty strong slide in productivity.

With that being said, Dame is currently 25.3 years old. CJ's only a year behind Dame at 24.2 years old. Our 'window' of strongest productivity with those two is over the next 4 years.

However, I think the key to a long and strong push at a championship is a good balance of older veterans (aged 28-33), a few key players in their primes (aged 24-28), mixed in with a few young guns (ages 18-24). If we build this roster right, no reason we can't expect deep playoff runs for many years to come with CJ and Dame as our centerpieces.

Good win last night, though I missed the whole game with work. 2 more wins to reach my prediction of 43......it's looking good! Go Blazers!

Its almost like teams game plan for Dame far more than any other Blazer on the team. Nah, that can't be it.

I mean, it isn't like they put their best defender on him regularly or anything.

Thats been the case the entire season. Nothing there has changed with Dame's slump the last few weeks.

Why you getting offended? Cj does play for the home team so it's win-win isn't it? I think anybody would agree when it comes to consistency Cj is way more steady with that and never does much heat check chucking shots

Dame is averaging 25.2 ppg, with a standard deviation of 6.6.
CJ is averaging 20.6 ppg, with a standard deviation of 4.9.

Tunchi is correct, CJ is more consistent. CJ is typically within about 5 points of his average, whereas Dame is typically within about 6.5 points of his average.

Rarely? He's had weeks where he shot horribly. I remember because I chronicled them for you and you never responded. CJ can have them too. I can get the stats there again if you'd like. But you'd probably ignore that, too.

It's fun watching you trying to smash square pegs into round holes with your forehead.

At this point, you could post "I love my wife" and people would respond "why do you hate Dame!"

Part of it is that you have gained a reputation - and part of it is that Dame is off his game and people are quietly panicking.

Oh ok that makes sense. I was just wondering what's the big deal Bc thank god we have Cj on the team.

I can understand the panick tho but let's be glad we have Cj on our side

"Dame just scored 50 in 10 straight games!"

"But he didn't do it in 11 straight. SCRUB."
