Auckland, New Zealand Mostly been paying attention since Damon turned up, I've collected his cards since Arizona etc He left, I stuck around
Portland Oregon native. Rose City. P-Town. Bridge City. Stump Town. City of Roses. NEP before gentrification. Dubya called us Little Beirut (LOL). RIP CITY BABY!!! I was born and bred into this. Dyed in the wool. My mother broke her foot celebrating the championship in 1977. I turned a year old that following August. I went to my first game in mom's belly. Same as my son. I've been a fan since before birth. I started really following the team in 4th grade. I had just met Kenny Carr at (what was the name of that supermarket that was on 33rd and Killingsworth at the time?) that place. He had 2 carts full of food. I was wowed by that. We were poor. He paid for our groceries that day and autographed my T shirt. I guess the quickest path to my heart is my stomach because I've been in love since then.
Born in Virginia parents got divorced in Scotland mom moved me to bend oregon, not gonna lie, was a huge Jordan fan then. 2nd grade. 6th grade me and my buddy decided it was time to start following the local team, sabas was instantly my favorite followed by sheed. Been looking at the world through rose coloured glasses since. Also hated refs since.
digital strategy, media buying & planning, i ran the digital revenue streams for one of our largest content publishers here (display, ppc, remnant, native, custom publishing etc), lots of client partnerships and custom content creation. got boring after a while, now i contract around doing similar stuff, with more variety.
hah nice to see a rugby fan. I've met him once, and know one of the girls he dated for quite a while. he's pretty cool and quiet, super homely - in fact, verging on boring. but he does what he likes, so what more can you ask, really. i think the all blacks are heading back to Soldier Field in Chicago later this year to play Ireland. Last time we did a promo tour there in 2014 and played the USA rugby team, i think we only sent our baby blacks, but still hit it out the park 74-6. 60K+ people went, so that was cool too. tbh, kinda sucks being so good at a game that really only a handful of other countries are competitive in, thats why its nice to see Steven Adams in the NBA, although he now seems to never want to play for us again.... smh.
ah maybe, it had zero context so *shrug*. must be in like antartica or that god forsaken country of australia
Born in the Portland area, raised in a small town about 45 min away. I don't know at what age I became a fan, but when I saw how much my grandmother (who came here during the war from England) loved them I was an instant fan. In 2nd grade (94-95 team) my class won a reading contest of some sort and we got to ride on a fancy tour bus to a game and go down courtside during warm ups, that is probably what really set my fandom in stone. Went to a game with my grandma in the sheed/sabas days, no matter what anyone says about that era of the blazers, that is still second to none for me (aside from the now of course). Don't know how but some friends and I got tickets to a game in one of the suites when I was in high school (04-05 team, probably how we got tickets lol). Now I live down in central Oregon, and I have been hitting as many of the weekend games as I can for the past two seasons, got to take my oldest daughter to her first ever game this season as well.
From a Kibbutz (a small communistic town, but our Kibbutz is no longer communistic) in the North Western corner of Israel
Born in Boise, Idaho. Lived in Oregon 7 years. Back to Idaho. At age 40 I moved to England. Been in England 2 years now. Nice thing about the time difference is I wake up and there's a fresh Blazers game recorded on League Pass I can watch straight away and not get hit by random spoilers.
