Dang! I sure would have liked LP when I lived in Hursley. Didn't even have cable though, maybe 4 over the air channels from Winchester, Southampton, and Portsmouth.
I was born and raised in Salem. Mom says she found me in a cabbage patch, but I question that account. Been a fan since the Blazers drafted Walton.
And it was actually a Piggly Wiggly way, way back in the day......I'm not sure even the Buckaroos had even come to town back then. So no running into Art Jones or the Schmautz brothers in the produce aisle....
Piggly Wiggly. I hadn't thought of that name in years. That was some true marketing genius to pick that name.
I'm a native (and current resident) of Rip City and the earliest game I can remember attending was 1987.
It was the one on Allen Blvd in Beaverton. I think it was an event by Franz Bread when they released their cards. I remember Carr had a basketball camp, but I think I always went to Larry Steele.
I was going to say you pretty much have to fly over it...due to underground lakes flying under it would be damned near impossible...(rimshot followed by long cascading trombone slide)
I was born in Texas where everything is bigger...wait dammit...anyway I was born in '84, but have always since I can remember been a Blazers fan...I hate all three Texas teams with a passion....started watching the blazers when I was a toddler...never looked back
