If the Wiz make the playoffs and he keeps his numbers up top 5 for sure, winning it, I don't see that not this season atleast.

^^What D-Rob said. He's going to have to keep his scoring up, and IMO is going to have to carry this team to a pretty lofty finish, which I don't know if they can get to. It'll be tough to beat out Nash and Kobe, but I think he can definitely be a top five candidate no matter what.

He is definately MVP material. Without Gilbert the Wizards wouldnt even be close to making the playoffs, and from what I understand MVP stands for Most Valuable Player and Gilbert is definately more valuable to the Wizards than anyone else to any other team, except for Kobe. If Gilbert does not win the MVP, Kobe definately should.

I posted this topic the other day and because of the name, it got filled up quick. Gilbert = MVP so far, hands down.

He keeps the stats, we get a pretty good seed in the playoffs (which I say we can since we're in the atrocious Eastern Conference), he has a nice chance at winning the MVP trophy, even though Nash has played some good ball this season, I just don't see Steve receiving a third straight MVP, I think alot of the sports writers, and anyone of that matter would make big deals about it, just like they did in the 2004-2005 season when they all said that Shaq deserved it over Nashty.

Kobe got jewed last year, he definately should have won MVP. I mean seriously, anyone who averages 35 ppg and scores 81 points in a game that season should get MVP without a doubt.

Top 5? Yes.MVP? Nope, not anytime soon..Not until his defense improves and he shows he can get 7 or 8 assists a game, then I'd vote for him

It depends on how much games the Wizards are able to win.

Yes he can finish top 5. Don't think he has any chance of winning it though. To many others that deserve it more. Nash, Dirk, Yao before injury, Melo before suspention, Boozer havinbg a great season, Kobe, Lebron, you get the picture. And no it's not in any order at all before people start jumping on me from diff teams. LOL
