Well, this is what its going to come down to: will the ping pong balls bounce our way?Gerald is finally going to get GOOD consistent minutes (hopefully 25-30 a game). Al is going to finally have to be the cornerstone of this offense. This is what I wanted to see out of the Celtics. Al, Green, and Bassy. Just a few years down the road, not now. Pierce has gotta come back soon, or else this team will be completely pathetic to watch.

QUOTE (playaofthegame @ Jan 10 2007, 09:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

first of all nobody says big al harrington.....and why would celtics fans?second of all....a big F*ck
in indy we used to call him baby al (when he came out of high school before he went to the Hawks) now we call him big alyeah. I know. I feel for you guys. but wtf was he doing in the first place? tony allen is one idiot.

QUOTE

tony allen is one idiot.
I totally agree with you, he was our leader with Pierce out and just the overall way he has been playing. After coming off of an injury plagued season last year he comes out and does something retarted like this. This is going to set him back a ton, he might be the next athlete to have his career ruined by a stupid decision. He has been keeping us in games. All I have to say is, Gerald Green, this kid needs to be taking like 35 shots a night from now on. I'm not even kidding, he is all we have left right now for a main scoring option.
tony allen...I dunno what he was doing..but hes not an idiothe was having a freaking amazing gameunfortunately everybody else is injured and he was our spark......and we have a bunch of 21 year olds out there with no idea what they're doing
tony allen was killing ustony allen is an idiotthis may be the most goaltending called game I've seengerald green is impressive, great future for this kidwe have like a trillion offensive rebounds
It's over. The Pacers won. Doesn't really matter though since we were supposed to win. I mean, I'd brag if Pierce had played. But your roster did the best they could with how unexxperienced they are.
I dont even care anymore about our losseswe should just rest Pierce and everybody...and hope the ping pong balls go our waywe wont be making the playoffs this year...we wont be winning sh*t...might as well get a great player..a top 5 pick..even if it means we get clowned by the rest of the NBA

QUOTE (Pacers fan forever @ Jan 10 2007, 07:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Whoa!!! Kendrin Perkins is really fat!!!!!!
.... No he isn't. But this game was friggen devastating, and you all know why. Tony Allen could very likely be done for the year, as it is a huge possibility that he might have torn his ACL. How? After a play, he went up to throw down a monster jam. He missed the dunk, and he landed very awkwardly. He went straight to the ground, he hit the floor, screamed a little, made faces, rolled a little. He was clearly in a TON of pain. He had to be carried to the locker room. This is just TERRIBLE. He was playing better than any Celtic player over the last month, without question. To lose a player like this, it's just terrible. Scal hurt his knee as well. Doc said that he tore his ACL in the same way Tony hurt his knee tonight. Doc said that he thinks that Tony tore his ACL. He said Scal probably got hit up with an MCL injury. Paul Pierce Wally Szczerbiak Tony Allen Delonte West Theo Ratliff Brian Scalabrine ^^ All of those guys are out right now. Tony Allen 19 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals on 7-12 shooting, 5-7 FT We all know about the injury, but before the injury, he was playing outstanding basketball ONCE AGAIN. He played excellent defense and disrupted the opposition and he really attacked the passing lanes. He attacked the basket, got to the rim, layed it up, got to the line. You know, typical Tony Allen play. It's so unfortunate what happened to him. I'm speechless on the matter. Sebastian Telfair 15 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists on 5-10 shooting, 5-5 FT Bassy had a great first half. He pushed the ball, pressured Tinsley, and he got to the basket with ease. In the second half, he slowed down, but overall he had a pretty solid game (offensively, anyway). Gerald Green 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists on 5-15 shooting, 0-3 3FG, 4-4 FT Gerald had a solid first half, and a solid front end of the 3rd quarter. After TA went down, the entire team played crappy, and Gerald couldn't hit anything to save his life. He did knock down some shots and he had a couple really nice dunks, but not a good game for Gerald tonight. Al Jefferson 2 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists on 2-11 shooting Big Al struggled immensely ALL NIGHT LONG. He couldn't get anything down. Everything he put up was way too soft and he either missed or got swatted. Bad night from Al, probably his worst game of the year. Kendrick Perkins 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks on 4-6 shooting Perk did OK tonight. Not great, but decent. He made a few nice defensive plays (not only blocking 2 shots, but changing them). The hook was going down a little too. Leon Powe 7 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block on 2-2 shooting, 3-4 FT in 11 minutes When Powe was in there, he was phenomenal. He hustled like crazy, as usual, he was a beast on the glass, he ran the floor and picked up 4 points in transition. I love Powe. THE POWE SHOW! Ryan Gomes 7 points, 1 rebound on 2-5 shooting, 3-4 FT Gomes didn't play all that well at all tonight. He did make some really nice passes (that nobody converted on), and he got a lot of touches after TA went down, but he didn't do much with them. Rajon Rondo 7 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal on 1-2 shooting, 5-8 FT in 13 minutes I think it's complete bullsh** that he still only played 13 minutes, but he was terrific in the first half. He ran the floor very well, he found the open guy a few times, he took it to the basket beautifully, and he hustled. He did make a couple bad passes and questionable plays, but overall he did a solid job. Doc has no choice but to play Rondo 20-25+ minutes with TA/Delonte/Pierce/Wally out. Allan Ray 3 points, 1 assist, 2 steals on 1-7 shooting, 1-3 3FG in 10 minutes He played most of his minutes in garbage time, but he still couldn't knock it down. He did make a beautiful bounce pass to Powe on the break, though. Brian Scalabrine 8 minutes He left for the locker room early with a hurt knee, then he went with TA to the hospital to get it checked out. He most likely has a small sprain or a strained MCL. Next Game Friday (1/12/07) at home vs. Toronto at 7:30 pm ET.
