<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>West finds that it hurts all overBy Peter May, Globe Staff | January 10, 2007Delonte West reported to work yesterday and asked if he could be excused because of soreness, well, everywhere. When Doc Rivers heard that, he knew one thing: "If Delonte is asking out, you know he's hurting."The Celtic who plays like Rodney Harrison may even miss tonight's game against Indiana because of his assorted ailments -- "his body," Rivers said, when asked what was wrong -- and, if the coach has his druthers, Friday night's game against Toronto as well. Rivers said he thinks West simply needs time to rest after being bothered by back and other woes. However, Rivers added, "I know Delonte and he'll probably be in [today] saying that he's fine and ready to go."West has missed two games this season, one because of his back (Dec. 27) and one because of a sore big left toe (Nov. 22). He did not practice yesterday."I'd be surprised if he went [tonight]," Rivers said.If West cannot go, Sebastian Telfair is the likely candidate to replace him in the starting lineup.Telfair, who started the first 25 games of the season before losing his job to West, holds the distinction of being the only Celtic to appear in every game this season.Wobbly Szczerbiak Wally Szczerbiak sat out the last part of practice with a swollen knee and sore ankles. Rivers said Szczerbiak should play tonight, but will likely be on a minutes limit . . . The Celtics are 4-12 at home. What gives, Kendrick Perkins? "I know one thing. It be cold in that gym. It be freezing cold," Perkins said. "In other gyms, you're out there and you break a sweat after one minute. But that's not an excuse." . . . Rivers said yesterday's workout was the team's first "quality practice" in 14 days. By that he meant one that could go long and had most everyone available and ready. The team did not practice Monday . . . A week ago, Rivers said that Paul Pierce's left boot was due to come in a week and further testing would be done. Yesterday, the team would say only that Pierce will be evaluated in the course of the week. Pierce has been out since Dec. 22 with a stress reaction in his left foot, and the Celtics are 2-7 in the nine games he has missed . . . The Celtics have won five of their last six against Indiana, including a 114-88 drubbing in Boston Nov. 15.</div>http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/ce...hurts_all_over/

Greeaaat. I knew this would happen. This proves to show that Doc/Danny need to take some authority and stop being pussies about it. They need to have the last word, and say "No, Delonte. You're not playing tonight." But no, they do whatever Delonte says. Delonte would play with no head.

About Wally getting limited minutes, I'm not complaining there.
