Win or lose, I just want to see this team fight hard. Last year's loss to the Grizz was embarrassing since the team just played tentative (aside from CJ). I'm optimistic that the addition of dudes like Aminu, Davis, Harkless and Plums will at least keep the energy up.

Realistically, I'd like to see this team pus the Clipps to 6 or 7 at the very least.

    We have already over achieved.

But to answer the question without being condescending, I want to re-calibrate my expectations for the playoffs. I expect us to win 1 or 2 games. Getting swept would be extremely disappointing. Winning a series or even taking it to game 7 would be fucking amazing.

But I'm not just talking about "lately" or "the last few weeks"--I'm talking about half of the season. And yes Griffin was out during that time, but he's still playing with a torn quad, and he's certainly not been particularly impressive since his return, so I'd say their overall performance over the past 3 months is absolutely relevant.

If you want to make the argument that the Blazers at present are built for the regular season and the Clippers are built better for the playoffs, sure, go for it. But it is disingenuous to suggest that the Blazers' performance being on par with the Clippers' is only a recent thing.

I believe the rest before game one will help this team and actually play pretty good at staples center. Defense will be better due to we will be rested but the scheme has to change for the this series if we play the Clippers. Paul is pretty good at his mid range shot. Since Dame hasn't figure out how to get around a screen that means other player has to be pretty active.

I only want them to win (at least) one game in the playoffs. All I ask is that one win is our last game played.

I'm curious, do you think about Dame 24/7? You somehow find a way to work him into 99% of your posts.

If we win 0 games, it'll be disappointing for sure.
If we win 1 game, our guys will learn that the playoffs are a whole different animal.
If we win 2 games, we will have won more playoffs games that last year, nyah!
If we win 3 games, we'll definitely be a team on the rise because presumably we'll be better next year.
If we win our first round series, no words for the joy I'll feel, or the delight I'll take in the Clips misery. Any form of sucess in the 2nd round will be gravy.

    One thing I'll be curious; if we hack a Jordan who do we have on the floor? Really no sense in worrying about defense in such a situation. I'd probably go;

    Dame
    CJ
    Roberts
    Crabbe
    Aminu

Once Roberts racks up some fouls have Vonleh or Pat come in for him. If it's the 4th quarter could have Crabbe or Hendo even foul some; I wouldn't want them to pick up fouls early in the game though.

Main reason I'd consider not hacking; if our bench is wearing out their team. The hacking gives starters a lot of rest and we might want to have CP3 exhausted by the 4th. That team has historically struggled in the clutch to almost Thunder levels. I think a big reason is starters being exhausted at the end since they've had a shitty bench for years.

Steal homecourt from the Clips...beat them in 5 games and compete in the next round win or lose but I have no expectations at all...it's just a wish list

Not that it means anything, but Jay Mohr just said the following on his radio show:

Yep, the hack-a-Jordan worked so well last time - right up to the closing moments when they needed somebody to play actual defense without fouling.

Yeah we've got a lot of national praise the last few weeks. Well really since Dame went on his post allstar break rampage. But I've heard many national experts pick us as the one team in the west who could make a first round series interesting and possibly get an upset. Nice to get some praise but at the same time doesn't mean a thing on the court where we'll certainly be an underdog.

To watch CJ get even Rivers and shove the ball up his butt. That would be live up to my expectations.

My expectation is that the Blazers put every ounce of themselves in every game, and play to win regardless of the outcome...regardless of the naysayers
