I thought they would make the playoffs this year honestly. Kinda crazy they have all this talking and have won the lottery time and time again and have gone no where. Their future looks bright though. I don't know about next year, have to wait and see, they haven't done anything to prove otherwise except maybe this late season play of theirs.

    Oh stop crying

I been warning you guys for months. WE ALREADY WON THIS YEAR

how many times do I have to say that

This year HAS BEEN A WIN!!

But for the love of god there's no reason we should give up an asset for nothing

Look at Minnesota. They argubly have a better future than us RIGHT NOW and that's not even counting their lottery pick this year.

Teams like Portland we need to build thru the draft.

But it's all good, we'll see what happens in the playoffs maybe we'll go all the way

Ahhh why does it take games like tonight for ppl to finally realize what I been saying

Our defense is beyond trash for playoff basketball

God I wish the West wasn't so bad this year

They have a better future? We just lost four starters and will probably finish out the 5th seed in the playoffs. They have been gathering assets for years, they sent there. The thing you want us to do most, they do so much of and they are just now getting to a bright spot. You troll and repeat the same shit constantly just so we respond to you and you get some attention because apparently in your every day life you lack it. I don't care if that's a personal shot, you deserve it. Always gotta hear you praise the other team, constantly hate on Lillard and the squad. "Feast or famine" bullshit. "We needed an asset". How ironic when we blew out golden state you weren't there or had that amazing stretch of wins where Damian was playing out of his mind. You were no where to be found. Even on his four point play. It worked out your way and you come back and say shit like you knew it was gonna happen. No you don't. You just go against the Blazers every time. Keep trolling man, I really hope you get banned

Teams fuck up a free throw or an in bound or a turnover all the time. It's anything but a guaranteed 2 points. The math says an 80% free throw shooter will only make both 64% of the time. If your out of time outs sure go for 3; if not go for easiest score, 2 or 3. Can't believe your seriously arguing this.

The only way to deal with a troll is to ignore it.

Its not about that. It's about always talking shit about the team and Lillard when their doing bad, and then disappearing when they do good. You posted once during the Golden State win and never gave Dame credit, but he whenever he does bad you're always there to talk shit about him and knock him. Same with the Blazers. They play good and you never once say something positive as you disappear. However in a game like this, you're all over the board. Not once did you give Dame credit for his 4 point play. However, Towns makes a basic layup to win and you act like he's the second coming of Christ, and talk about how great the other team is. It's unbearable.

The thing is you won't have any sort of response that makes sense to this

I don't think that's the reason we're 20th in the league in defense.

Taking the layup was the right call. That's not where Stotts fucked up.

Dude just wait till this seaosn is over you'll see my optimism. I don't like participation awards Bc we MADE THE PLAYOFFS

Teams like us we need ASSETS if we hadn't lost that you would never see me bitch like this.

But this year is a wash. We have maybe 5 games left for the season and that's it. Why give up a valuable asset for that??

Olshey is super nice he would have a field day with a valuable asset like a draft pick does for us instead you guys want some type of imaginary award for making the playoffs but in reality a pick and trading say Meyers would perhaps help us speed up the process for the real window starting next year.

    But ah well

We're at the point in Talkin' Ball where Quick wasn't paying attention and tries to play it off like the question was hard to understand.

If the opportunity had presented itself tonight to get a good look at a 3 then you take it. Which they have in the past. But by no means do you force a wild 3 when they're defending you 2-3ft beyond the line. Like they were tonight... You take what the defense gives you and play the foul game.
Curry did it tonight twice and almost lost the game by going for the home-run. He also did it vs the celtics with 50s to go and made their situation worse...
Basketball 101 is with timeouts and time on the clock you go for the 3 if it's there. If it's not you get the quick two and play the foul game.

And no free agent would take us seriously. Now we're 5 times more likely to acquire whoever we go after, because we made the playoffs. And any guy we get will be a better "assett" than the pick.

Everytime you say something positive its ALWAYS attached to a negative/passive statement.

Ahhhhh I'm so ticked about this one. Especially just giving it away on the last possession. And it doesn't help that the next game is on Wednesday. The bad taste in my mouth is going to stick.

Defense requires buy-in from the refs, period. Good physical defense can't happen without the refs swallowing their whistles. Refs call reputation. Defense (holding screening, leaping over backs, pushing, etc) to me is the most rigged part of the game.

That's not to say we don't make some of the dumbest mistakes in the league. But the foul disparity is frankly usually at least partially bullshit.
