    I'd rather they rested them and gave them an extended summer. Even with both of them, they're not winning this series if they're going to play with this type of effort and game plan.

    He's not winning this series by himself. He's not stealing a series this year. This is where AV's system is awful. His system isn't built to let a goalie steal a series. His system is built to out score his opponents and hope your goalie makes just enough plays to win 5-4. Problem is this team cannot score goals.

    In a game like this one you have to score early. That said there's too many deficiencies and even without Malkin Pitt is the better team right now.

    But that was a terrible game 1 across the board.

    At some point, their deep playoff runs have to end. Hard to do it every year. Look at Boston. Since their cup win, they've been terrible.

    Just frustrating since the Rangers controlled the play for good chunks of the game. It's just that every mistake ends up in their net. That and the fact that they couldn't score on somebody nobody has heard of before. We shall see what happens in game 2.
