(Gross, Zipay) The Rangers said yesterday that they didn't believe the injury to be "too serious" and that he was seeing an eye doctor later in the day. Agreed Prod. I figured he was going to play. Happy to see it pretty much officially.
"Today I felt pretty good. The big thing for me was yesterday to go and see a specialist and know that there is no damage to the eye and it's just the swelling around the eye that made it uncomfortable. We are taking it day by day but the practice was good, the vision was good. It's more the swelling around the eye that affects it a little bit but I am very pleased with the way that it felt." No vision problems, "It's a lot better. After the hit it was very blurry and hard to focus and that is why I left the game and that night it improved a lot and had a good feeling yesterday but you want to make sure when you see the specialist that there is no damage to the eye. The way the stick hit me, I am just very happy and lucky that nothing bad happened there. For 20/30 seconds I had some really bad thoughts going through my head, just the way that it all happened and it was very scary actually and everything just happened so far. Just happy it's nothing serious."
