Who?I think it's between Telfair and Rondo right now. It would have been Tony, but that's a different story. But I think that both Rondo and Telfair are great slashers. They're both small, quick, and nimble, and have very good body control. It's difficult for me to decide though. Telfair does miss a lot of layups, but to his defense he does get hit a lot with no call, and he does go for some pretty tough ones as well. I really don't know which I'd choose though, who would you guys take?
Well this was discluding Pierce, I forgot to add that. He's our best player and obviously the best slasher. Now it can't be Tony Allen because he wrecked his knee. But like I said in my first post. It would have been Tony had he not hurt himself.
I would say Tony Allen but we all know it's not going to be him for a long, long time. Telfair has been displaying his slashing ability, I've always been openly critical of Telfair but I do give him a lot of credit on his ability to be extremely quick taking the ball to the hoop. He can dart in and out of the lane like a rabbit.
Pierce is #1. He can get to the lane past anybody, and he'll either score or draw a foul. He isn't quite Steve Nash with the ball, but he can handle well enough to shake and bake. He will cut. I would say Tony Allen is right behind Pierce as a slasher, but we all know that the answer of his name was not valid last night after the 3:01 mark in the 3rd quarter. But a healthy TA is an excellent slasher. He's just so damn quick, explosive, and strong. Of all of our healthy players as of right now (which is only 9 players), our best is Bassy. He is extremely quick and he's a good ballhandler. If he wanted to, he could score at a much higher rate, but the fact of the matter is that he is only aggressive 3/5 times we play. He needs to take it to the basket aggressively EVERY night.
Including Pierce it's Rondo. He can get by anybody in the league and get to the rim on every pocession.
