Blatant penalties are being ignored out there now. The refs have basically told the Pens to do whatever they want, they've got their back and will call the Rangers for anything they do to retaliate.

Clear hooking call on a wide open guy. No call.

Slash on Staal and ref watches it and doesn't call it. Linesman holding Kleins arm and almost leaves him defenseless. Awesome officiating. Good god.
I'm just going to post how many BLATANT missed calls there are.

It all comes from that little whiny bitch with that awful facial hair. All game he whines to the refs.

Stepan still hasn't come back since he went to the locker room.

    E. Staal definitely has a bum right shoulder. Any time he gets hit near it he's in significant pain.

Stepan back. Close out these two minutes and it's a new series going back to MSG.

Yep. No late game stupidity. No bad penalties. No defensive lapses. Just play smart sound hockey.

Leaving Pitt 1-1 was the goal.

Didn't play great early but controlled that game most if the time.

And we have Hank and they have Zatkoff. Lundqvist is in their heads again.

    Big one Tues night.

    Great team Win

Yep. Now I'd love for AV to demand that these refs not be allowed to do anymore playoff games due to the fact that they refused to call (I refuse to say that they missed it because they didn't miss it as the one ref was staring at it three feet away from him and the puck was right there) a blatant boarding on Stepan that could have lead to a serious injury.

McIlrath and Skjei were great in this game. Eric Staal is out of shape. That's his problem. He looks like he's stuck in mud. This guy was a force in Carolina. Now, he barely moves out there and he's knocked off his skates constantly.

The refs were atrocious. They refused to call about 5 to 7 blatant penalties on Pitt. Nothing new there.

Big Win. Now tied all momentum with us and have to believe the pens don't get away with half the shit they got away with today at the garden. Rangers need to continue hitting every penguin that moves and stay focused on defense.

Must win...got it done. That's why I always say I rather open on the road. Most NHL series are 1-1, now we go home to a crazy crowd Tuesday night. I prefer opening on the road for sure.

    Couple of comments:

    1. Have GOT to stop the dumb penalties. We have taken 4 O zone penalties in two games...cannot do it and expect to win. HAVE TO STAY OUT OF THE BOX.
    2. PK has to be better. Pens PP is lethal, but our PK was very poor today IMO.
    3. I expect MAF back in game 3, so continue to raise your level guys...we'll need to.
    4. I love going home 1-1. Crowd should be crazy. We need to feed off that early.
    5. I wonder if McD will be good to play. 3 days until game 3. We can use him. Add him back to this D and we'd be in solid shape.
    6. Good to see some of the forwards show. Miller played well. Brass was excellent, and on the road.
    7. Nash just cannot score in the playoffs. Had a great chance on a one-timer and shot it low into the pad. Has to lift the puck there. Guy simply cannot get it done in the playoffs. Shame.

Bottom line...great win. 100% must win. Got it done, and now we go home to a jacked up MSG for game 3.

    Good stuff.

I could see Lovejoy getting suspended for that hit yet ref 2 feet away does nothing

Skjei played 19 minutes. McIlrath played 9 minutes, and not many minutes late even with Klein in the box.

If McD comes back I think McIlrath could be the odd man out over Skjei. I have really liked what I have seen from Skjei. He is good against this team due to his skating.

BTW...I have to say it. 45 seconds left up 2 and AV has Glass on ice. I have to admit I was like WTF AV. I don't get that.

I don't so much mind Glass in that spot. Pitt becomes cheap shot scum when they're down.

Yeah, in the last minute pitt had two glorious point blank chances in front of the net. Have to tighten that up for the rest of the series.
