http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...leared_to_play/ <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Pape Sow has been cleared to resume full contact basketball work, six months after suffering fractured vertebrae in a fall during a summer league practice. Sow was cleared yesterday by doctors in Las Vegas who performed the surgery to correct the broken neck suffered there in July. He is to rejoin the Raptors in Boston tomorrow and should practice back in Toronto with the team on Saturday. "We're happy for Pape," coach Sam Mitchell said before last night's game here. "Happy a guy gets a chance to come back and do what he loves to do."</div> I like Sow. He's very tough, and he'll bring some defense and athleticism for you guys. However, I'll never forget how he tried to make fun of Gerald's finger. :no3:
Ever since his days in the D League, he has really come a long way and was hoping for a chance this year to really generate some energy off the bench. That injury really hurt him and his chance, glad to see Pape back in and getting another shot at improving.
Nice. He obviously won't get a ton of playing time, but he should get a few minutes every once in a while. He plays hard, he's a good rebounder, great shot blocker. Only thing is that he can't play offense, and he is a chronic fouler.
Is he still D League eligible? I remember when he tore it up there last season. Because he hasn't played yet this year can they send him down?
I'm not even sure I just thought that the d league were for rookies and 2nd years. But then Sow would be nice in the mix with his hustle. Its good to have some Energy guy in the game too along with humphries
yes I really like sow but the thing is this team has such great depth that even kris humphries(better version of pape in some ways) barely gets minutes, so its gonna be hard for pape to get some minutes as well. seriously colangelo did SUCH a nice job now our good players are getting benched. its just crazay. but I dont think garbajosa should be getting like 30mpg tho, fred jones should be getting atleast 5-6 of those min.anyway back to pape sow I really like his game I guess we can just keep him for the future
Ya, Pape and Kris will need to battle it out for minutes this year. But good to see Pape playing again last night against the Bobcats and got an and1. It's been a long time since we got to see him in action and how aggresive he is and determined to play.
Pape made his first appearence of the year yesterday. His first shot attempt, some guy on the Bobcats swatted it near halfcourt. Haha, kind of an embarrasment. But then he came back and got an and 1 on the same guy. (Can't remember the guy's name)...

But Pape came through and gave me what I wanted, a nice basket (an and 1 at that!) along with scoring the 100th point, to give the fans there pizza.
