Guess you don't know what or where "vote early, vote often" came from....?

    Lincoln-Douglas, Illinois- Senate Race/1858...

Hacks, paid and, brought into Illinois to defeat Lincoln by Voters who were quickly shipped in on trains; registered as Illini residents, yet were Irish Immigrants, who left upon the defeat........Illini, not Illuminati....

I don't see any difference, in created imposter Trumptards....

    as well-

During the GOP Pres race of 1860, Douglas had created a parade of fools, to walk to the Convention hall, and overtake it, with as many Douglas fanatics as possible, attempting to give Douglas the GOP Nomination.....

    what happened......???

Lincoln's men, printed 5,000 counterfeit tickets, while changing the time of Opening Convention doors, to two hours earlier....by the time Douglas got to the Convention, it was full of Lincoln supporters...

and you think the forces that be, are going to allow a Man (barely); who knows nothing about US or World Politics, become our next POTUS..., not on yours or anyone else's life....

...to use a quote of Rick's, "does this really need explaining"?

...the grueling path to education continues.

one can lead a horse to water, but it might not drink, yet the Horse (not jackass*) never forgets where the source of water is.

Some Kids aren't as smart as Horses ... in this case, a Horse's intelligence would be a welcome reprieve...but were dealing with an asterik*...

Oh, okay, I know.... the kind of stuff going on nowadays where states close down actual elections and the chosen few are put in place to be plucked by the harder working candidates and racked up like pool table balls. Yep - there was quite a bit of skullduggery in those days. Now we have simple rule changes on the fly. Putting 19th and early 20th century politics aside, its going to leave a bad taste in the mouths of today's masses with our instantaneous communications if a candidate is denied the nomination while having about 93% of the required delegates and the closest one has a few hundred less than him. Lol.....in a weird way, I might be curious to see what the results and ramifications are after this should happen. I wouldn't bet a wooden nickle on the chosen one's chances.
Hey, I've been wrong before....maybe the Grand Old Party knows better.

    wink!

Bye Bye Republican Party for the foreseeable future....and maybe the snakes are willing to go along with it as long as it preserves business as usual.

...no, the GOP is probably fucked anyway, but that's irrelevant to the point.

...and for the umpteenth time, "93%" of the required delegates does not equal a nomination...not sure why you cannot grasp this simple concept...oh wait, yes I can.

...stop with the "shoulda, coulda, woulda", crap...it's moot.

Lincoln won with only 40% of the popular vote....

    Jackson lost with the majority....

Chump will lose with a minority, once delegates re-pledge, as well as the other 10 candidates delegates who do the same. But ya' already heard and read it, the GOP is not going to let the douchebag in the POTUS office, wake fkng up and smell the coffee...

...^^^ yup, and as I've mentioned before Lincoln also went to the Republican convention well behind the "favorite".

GOP is a private organization, period. Trump has to follow those rules they set up or he can go it alone.

This has been a great read Tote, Thanx...

and like 59, I too was hoping for some closure....

found this interesting to drive Trumptards crazy into a feeding frenzy:

The 1924 Democratic National Convention, also called the Klanbake, held at the MSG in NYC, from June 24 to July 9, 1924, took a record 103 ballots to nominate a presidential candidate. It was the longest continuously running convention in USA political history. It was the first major party national convention that saw the name of a woman, Lena Springs, placed in nomination for the office of Vice President. It was also known for the strong influence of the Ku Klux Klan (Sound Familiar)??? John W. Davis, initially an outsider, eventually won the presidential nomination as a compromise candidate following a virtual war of attrition between front-runners Wm., McAdoo and Al Smith.

Davis went on to be defeated by the Republican ticket of President Calvin Coolidge

Ha....I think Hewitt is gonna milk these serials right up to Cleveland. BTW Ron, this guy just moved his radio show to 6-9 Eastern to replace the retired Bill Bennett. Hugh used to be on 3-6pm Pacific. Interesting twist on a conservative radio program, it's more news oriented. Interviews and analysis from reporters, columnists and TV commentators, plus politicians, generals and diplomats. He's also a sports nut for Cleveland which adds some humor, lol. He's also got an app for his pod cast. ..free.

1260 out of DC as well.

Funniest bit had to be when he interviewed Chris Christie. As Christie is friends with Jerry Jones, Hugh wanted him to pitch a trade of Johnny Manziel to the Cowboys.
