<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>AUBURN HILLS, Mich. ? The Detroit Pistons announced today that they have assigned Amir Johnson to the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA D-League. Johnson, a second-year forward, appeared in four games this season averaging 1.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 5.3 minutes. He played in three games for the Pistons last season averaging 6.7 points and scored a career-high 18 points at Milwaukee (4/17/06). Drafted 56th by the Pistons in the 2005 NBA Draft, Johnson averaged 17.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 17 games last season with the Fayetteville Patriots of the D-League.</div>Good move, especially with Webber coming in. This kid can become a solid role player, he just needs some quality minutes. He will get them in the D-League.

His 18 point game, he was 100% from the floor too, greta game for Amir saying it was only his 2nd. Remmeber his First rookie apperance in Minny, Windmill at one end, block right after at the other. A great apperence by the rookie.

He'll be back, he has a lot of untapped potential, and playing with Rasheed and Dyess should help his cause. Plus, he's 6'11, and not fully done growing.

yeah, it seems unique that Joe would send him to the D-league just as Webber is being put on waivers...I think mr. dumars is up to something..and yes Amir will be back, I have no doubt

I really hope that we get C Webb now because I really loves what Amir brings when he is on the court. I know that he does need more time to develop, but I do hope this leads to C Webb in Detroit.

this guy is going to be better with more minutes, and he is really explosive. but he will also be better with more time developing. hopefully, he'll raise a few eyebrows in the D-league.

And about him going to the D-League, it was expected when Hunter came back. So I don't think Webber has much to do with it. On Amir in general, he has a lot of potential and I really hope we resign him this offseason. (I believe he's a free agent, correct me if I'm wrong.) He has a chance to become a solid role player in the league, and has enough potential to do more than that. BTW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1CqtnnPtSs :dribble:
