Game 1: LAC @ MNResult: 115-111, LAC WinsStory:Not a great way to start off the new season. The TimberWolves were hoping to come out growling but tonight it was more like a soft purring. They never had the lead all night, and were dominated by Jamal Crawford, who scored 41 points on the dismantled TWolves defense. The Wolves almost made a comeback in the forth, but was stopped due to bad execution and bad defense. The bright point in this game was Ray Allen, who had 41 points. Off the bench, Stephen Jackson scored 18 points, all in the fourth quarter. He was almost automatic from three point land, hitting 6-8. LeBron James had 23 points, and 9 boards.Interview:Reporter: Ray, how can you explain the poor defense of your team?Ray: I think we are just a little rusty. I'm not trying to make excuses for anyone, but I think we'll come out strong in our next game and get that first win this seasonNext Game: SanAntonio Spurs @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Game 2: SA @ MNResult: 89-99, MN winsRecord: 1-1Story:After a disappointing loss to the Clippers, the Wolves came out strong in this one. They trailed early again, but bounced back. LeBron James was 0-4 in FG attempts in the first quarter, with no points. But he stepped it up later in the game, scoring 8+ in each of the following quarters to end with 27 and 6 boards. Ray Allen also scored 27 in this one. For SanAntonio, Luke Ridinour was outstanding with 31 points, coming up with big baskets but not quite enough. Minnesota outscored they're opponant by 11 in the fourth quarter. Rookie Marvin Williams had 16 points along with 12 boards in this one. Mark Blount and Charlie Villanueva split time in this one and combined for 17 points and 11 boards. Also in the news about the TWolves, they are considering trading Kirk Hinrich, most likely for either another point guard or someone who can produce in the paint.Interview:Reporter: LeBron, how did you come back after that disappointing 1st quarter and win this game?LBJ: Well, we just never stopped believing. Even though we were leading after the 1st, it sure didn't feel like it. By the time the fourth came around, we were extremely motivated to win this game. And we pulled it out.Next Game:MN @ MIA

Game 3: MN @ MIAResult: 122-114, MN winsRecord: 2-1Story:In this shootout, it was hard to tell what was happening. Either great offense or terrible defense. Both teams shot great, but someone had to win. The TimberWolves were someone. They started off hot, scoring 38 in the first quarter, but still only leading by 5. LeBron James went off after that, scoring 51 points in the game and getting 8 boards. He was the only one on his team to score 20, while the Heat had 3 players score 20+. But with the help of efforts from Marvin Williams (19 points) and Kirk Hinrich (15 points, 6 assists, 5 boards) they pulled this high scoring affair out.Other Stats:Blount and Villanueva: Combined for 13 pts and 11 reboundsRay Allen: Scored 13 pointsVillanueva is now starting in place of BlountInterview:No players would comment on tonights gameNext Game: MN @ DEN
