Trade CJ, Plumlee and maybe Harkless (if needed) for George? Then go sign whiteside to a max. Is that a contending team?
If we trade CJ, we have to have a backup plan in place. Could we pick up a late first rounder and find a gem?
Is the backup plan better as a rookie in the draft, or sliding players around? My suggestion would have our lineup looking like this: Dame/Roberts/Montero Hendo/Crabbe/Montero George/Aminu/Hendo Davis/Vonleh/Alexander Whiteside/Vonleh Hmmm.. Not sure if that is enough. Thoughts?
yea that second unit would be pretty tough to watch. would end up being like last year and the year prior where we have a killer first 5 and almost nothing off the bench.
Again people, why would Indiana trade the guy who led them to the playoffs and might end up leading them out of the first round? I really don't see why Indiana would give up Paul George unless they get the better of the trade. I feel like you would have to trade Dame AND CJ otherwise it's not worth it for Indy.
Highly unlikely we'd land him, a third team would need to be involved because I don't see why the Pacers would want a CJ centered package when they have Ellis, Hill, Stuckey, Young, etc. if they could get a team that would take Ellis and give them something worth a damn in return then MAYBE they might be open to a discussion.
Thinking because they have tried with him and might be ready to move on. Have no clue though. Great points that im not aware of. Who is the third team? Who could use Ellis. Milwaukie?
Maybe Chicago? Idk. Honestly if we go down the Chicago route I rather we explore a CJ+Aminu for Butler trade
so who cares what we have going out aside from dame, 3 team blockbuster deal for PG and Butler......lol
You know, it's funny... there's someone on our team that fits that same criteria and there's people that want to trade him. lol.
