The Staal bros need to go. They both are washed up.

The play by the Rangers in this series has been putrid but the way the Pens stars are playing is exactly why some people preferred to play Florida.

A recurring theme are weak clears off the boards that result in turnovers and the Rangers never challenging the Pens at the blue line. They allow them to skate right in time and time again.

It is on the coaches to make those adjustments. I dont know what the hell the coaching staff has been doing all year. They do the same shit every single game.

That was a 2015-2016 Rangers first period.

1st Pens goal the Rangers had an easy clear, turned the puck over in their own zone, puck in the back of the net.
2nd Pens goal was another neutral/O zone penalty, our PK is horrific, and the puck is in the back of our net.
Add in us failing to capitalize on our PP chance, and there you go.

Let's see how the second period plays out. Need to be quicker and more decisive in our own end.

The Rangers have been doing it since Torts and on this club it's Yandle more often than not.

Hags was a bigger PK loss than Boyle IMO. The PK was still good last season. And it started okay this year when Stoll was here. Once Stoll was cut it went in the toilet, and has been awful ever since.

Special teams are the reason this series could be done in 5. We are 1-17 or something like that on the PP, only goal was 5 on 3. Pens are 8-20 or something like that. Don't need to look much further IMO.

I'll still stand by this being a more winnable series than Florida would've. The Rangers are not playing to their potential and Florida is doing some dumb things to let the Islanders hang around.

This first period is a perfect example of what is wrong with this team. Two goals in a period with this team and the game was pretty much over. Here, they leave a guy wide open in front of the net like they have all year and immediately give up an early lead.

Thats why I was saying during the season that they miss hags, just for his PK abilities along. Not sure why Oscar is not getting more PK time.

So Florida will lose in 6. Pitt may win in 5...and STILL you standby that. Good stuff 71...LOL.

No one knows what would have happened if we played the Panthers.

Maybe we would have won. Maybe we would have lost. No clue.

BUT anyone who knows anything about hockey knows the Pens are MUCH better than the Panthers. Sorry but it simply isn't debatable. Through 10 playoffs games it couldn't be any clearer.

    Is what it is.

Yandle with another soft clear attempt that ends up taken by the Pens and in the back of the net.

They absolutely have to find a way to address the middle of the ice garbage next year.

He's an awful defensive player and his offensive ability was clearly overrated because he hasn't done much to help that end either.

Yandle and E.Staal sure put them over the top. Like I said during the season. Gorton has been an absolute pile of shit as GM.
