yeah with a healthy roster...and barely pulling it offthe game was closer than the score appearsat one point it was a 5 point game in the final stretch and for most of the game it was about neck and neckthe Raptors shouldnt be bragging about this win...they didnt play that impressive...but neither did weway too many turnovers and mental mistakesthe huge bright spot of this game was the man himself...RAJON RONDO
Actually even when they were full health before pierce went out. They were only good when they won that 5 game winning streak after that they didnt really go anywhere, so the Raptors still could of won. But then hey the Raps once had 8 players due to injury one year, so it isnt as bad when celtics have 9 players, but then theyll all very young. Bosh and Ford had a good night, but then mo pete isnt happy today when he got taken out of the game.
Hey CB4AllStar... how did Rondo do with Ford? EXACTLY! I'm happy with the hustle and fight from the team tonight, and I am VERY happy with Rajon Rondo. This is what the kid can do, he need minutes every night. We didn't go to Al, Gerald had a terrible night, and Bassy was not good in the 2nd half. Powe was great, though. The 2nd quarter lineup of Rondo, Bassy, Ray, Powe, and O was phenomenal. Just WOW. Beastly on the boards, high-tempo, excellent defense. Doc - No Leon Powe in the 4th? What? Why? Did you watch the first 3? Rajon Rondo 23 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals on 7-13 shooting, 9-12 FT Rondo was excellent tonight. He played under great control and only turned the ball over once in 30 minutes, he REALLY harrassed and disrupted Ford on both ends of the floor, he played excellent defense, he pushed the ball, he took and hit some jumpers, and he got to the rim at will. I LOVE RONDO! Sebastian Telfair 14 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists on 5-14 shooting, 3-7 3FG Bassy had a really good first half, but he kind of sucked in the second half. He didn't hit his shots, he was owned trying to guard Ford, and he made some bad decisions. Not a great night for Bassy. Leon Powe 3 points, 12 rebounds (6 offensive), 3 steals on 1-4 shooting in 17 mins I think it's complete bullsh** that Doc didn't play Powe in the 4th quarter, he was excellent. He played great defensively, he was a monster on the boards, and he played tough. Powe and Kandi-Man were exceptional together tonight. Ryan Gomes 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists on 4-8 shooting Gomes was so-so. He hit some shots that kind of got us back in it, but he had a ton of trouble guarding the SF's (especially in the first half). I don't like Gomes at the 3 at all, but we kind of have to now. Gerald Green 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block on 4-14 shooting, 3-6 3FG Gerald also turned the ball over 6 times! This was a terrible game for Gerald. He couldn't knock ANYTHING down and he played very sloppy. He needs to work on his ballhandling a ton. Al Jefferson 9 points, 6 rebounds on 4-8 shooting We need to go to Al more, jesus christ! That's all I have to say. Get it to Al more often. Toronto did do a good job doubling him a few times, though, but still. They missed him calling for the ball like 6 times. Allan Ray 11 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist on 4-13 shooting, 0-4 3FG, 3-5 FT in 26 mins Ray was outstanding in the 2nd quarter. He, along with Rondo/Bassy/Powe/O, was awesome in the 2nd. He knocked down shots and he took it to the basket very nicely a couple times. In the second half, though... ouch. He couldn't hit anything. Michael Olowokandi 3 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block on 1-2 shooting in 20 mins O was OlowoGREAT tonight. He and Powe really held it down defensively in the 2nd, and Kandi-Man made a couple nice defensive plays in the second half as well. I like him, and I'm happy he's getting minutes, whether he's forced to or not. I love the defense, size, and hustle. Kendrick Perkins 2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal on 1-1 shooting in 18 mins Perk just couldn't handle the bigs for Toronto, because they all are effective out of the paint. Defensively, Perk was not there tonight.
Player of the Game: Rajon Rondo 23 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals
Next Game Tomorrow night (1/13/07) @ Detroit at 7:30 pm ET.
Olowokandi was great :shifty2: and then Bosh posterized him which was just disgusting. I was impressed with a couple of the Boston players today, most noteably Rondo and Ray. I thought Rondo relaxed the Celtics when they were going crazy practically turning it over every play so that was a good thing to see. Ray played pretty good in the first half when the Celtics were on their run, he was getting into the paint alot and getting the calls. On the Raptors side I was impressed with Bargnani and Parker. I thought Parker had a solid game and was the player of the game in my mind, he had a great all around game. He had a couple nice steals which lead to some transition points for the Raptors, also he knocked down a couple 3s which kept a secure lead. Bargnani I thought as well had a pretty good game on both ends of the court. His jumpshot wasnt dropping so he took it inside a couple times going strong to the hoop finishing or dishing it out, the block on telfair near the end of the game pretty much solidified the win for us.
Rajon Rondo showcased why TJ Ford will never be a great player in the NBA. I was impressed with how the Celts scrapped and stayed in this one. Scrappy bunch, you can tell they want to win, they just don't have it.

Obviously me Raps would win. You guys are fools...1. TJ Ford is not a dick, just because he owns Rondo doesn't mean hes a dick.2. They didn't just barely pull it off, they just played with them.3. Even if Celtics were healthy we would have beat them just as bad or slighty worse but we would have still won.Yeah but Celtics will lose to Raps anyday.

LMAO you obviously didn't watch the game. Ford killed Telfair, but Rondo harassed him on both ends of the floor. 2. BULL 3. We just lost by 9 points... without Paul Pierce, Wally Szczerbiak, Tony Allen, Delonte West, Theo Ratliff, and Brian Scalabrine.
I don't care if Rondo had a good game. Jose Calderon was actually out there for most of the time when Rondo was torching us. The Celtics are missing Pierce and Wally, so somebody was bound to step it up, and score in the 20's.Anyway, I didn't see the 2nd half because I went to bed. I had 2 games yesterday, and 2 games today...So I can't really report what went down, but I did see that Anthony Parker did very well. He got some inside points, and shot well from what I saw. Bosh was dominate once again. I think he got 25+. Yeah, you guys really contained him. Also, Bosh continued his shotblocking prowless. He had some nice blocks. TJ was lighting it up in the first half. I'd like to see him pass it more, but hey; he showed everyone that he can shoot. Nobody can say that he isn't a mid range threat. He may not have the deep ball yet, but he doesn't take 3's anyway, so I don't care about that. 19 and 6 for TJ...I hope yankshater saw him score in the first quarter...And Celticballa, you shouldnt be so proud of your Celtics. Yeah, you only lost by 9. But we absolutely played like sh*t in this game, and still got a pretty easy victory. Anthony Parker, Rasho, Chris, Jose and maybe TJ in the first quarter were the only ones that I thought had good games. Mo absolutely sucked today, Andrea could not get it going, Jorge had 0 points. Fred didn't even play, Joey hustled, but did nothing offensively...and TJ was a ballhog when I was watching him. I was very dissapointed with his court vision today...Our offense sucked today.

Rondo had a CAREER game against tj ford. what does that tell you?2. wrong again.3. That's just a joke. We were missing OVER 67 POINTS of production, not to mention the intangibles of veteran leadership.is that why the celtics have beat the raps 6 out of 8 times in the two season before this year? yeah, thought so.
Rondo got alot of his points against Jose Calderon, just so you know. And why would you say that? How many new players do we have this year. We are a better team than you guys this season. We beat you when you WERE healthy too.
first of all, that game could've gone either way, but I'm not going to make excuses. secondly, I'm not denying that the raps are a little better than the Cs this year, but to say that the raps can beat boston "anyday" is just ridiculous. neither boston nor toronto could beat any team in the league anyday.
That game could not have gone either way. You guys have major injury problems. We played like sh*t, but we were still able to pull away because it was obvious that you guys were going to hit the wall sometime in the 2nd half, and you did.Our last 2 victories have came off injury depleted teams. Way to go Raptors!

That completely changed the outcome of the game.
Okay, but we won, and that's all I care about. That's history. On a sidenote, did anyone see Bosh getting a bullsh** technical after his dunk? LOL. He looked over to his bench, and didn't even show much emotion. That was complete bullsh**. He did not do anything wrong.

yeah, they started being a little more tolerant with this stuff, but I guess not. stupid rule. they're taking passion away from the game.not to stern: this isn't just a business.
What the hell are you supposed to do when you have a huge dunk over someone? Does Stern want the players to just keep a straight face, and walk back to the other end? No, if they dunk it over someone, they are going to have a burst of energy. Stern is taking passion away from the game. Are the players supposed to act like robots or something?
