Or have no opinion or what? This goes for all sports. I'm sure people from Boston, New York, Los Angeles, etc. will be biased since they have their own franchises over there to cheer for, but what I'm asking is, you guys's opinions on if you think it's right to cheer for more than one club in a sport?THOUGHTS?! :dribble:
I know guys on other forums that are white sox and cubs fans. Thats just bogus to me. Stick to one team.
I don't like it. I like to stay with one team and cheer them on through thick or thin. I don't like how it seems people get new favorites all the time and they use the excuse of "they aren't my favorite, I like that other team, I just like them too." But that is just me, they can live their life the way they want. But if my team gets eliminated in the playoffs or something, then I pick a team still in it to cheer on, but it doesn't bother me if they win or loose it and I don't claim them as "my team."
Like 4 years back, I picked 8 teams in the NFL that I liked. But then later on, I found out that the Eagles were the only team that I could really root for, and I started watching all of their games. For the NBA, I like watching the Suns, and I was rooting for them in the playoffs, but they are still not a favourite team. I couldnt be a fan of any other team than the Raptors. And for MLB, I always root for the Red Sox in the playoffs.
only if you dont have a team in your own city...say you live in a state where they never have teamsthen its alrightbut if your from boston, new york, florida or california..you shouldnt root for more than one team
With the NFL I like several different clubs but I don't have a team to call my own so that makes it easier to do so.

Stick to one team.</div>That IS bogus, but I'm talking more along the lines of, say in the NFL; you have a team in the NFC and the AFC? Not liking teams of a rivalry, of course theres this site that is dedicated to fans of both the Spurs and the Lakers. That's about like me, I have two teams in the NFL. My MAIN primary team (the St. Louis Rams....) and the Miami Dolphins (my Dad loved them and always wanted me to like them too.) I never could choose between them so I cheer for both. However, when they meet up in a game, I always want the Rams to smash them and come out on top, because I'm a Rams fan, not a Rams/Phins fan, but however I do like the Dolphins.
Only if you have a team as pathetic and hopeless as the Cardinals in your state. I don't like how some people have 2 teams per sport or 3 or 4 in a certain sport though...
I don't hate every team that isn't my favorite, I do like more than 2 teams in the NFL because I am a fan of their play or they are partially considered hometown. I think it's because I don't hate any team... I like almost all of them.ONly for the NFL though.
Well, I'm Piston/Tiger/Raven/Red Wing/Woverine Fan, and I like other players, but I don't like other teams enough to root for them.

Hmm. So say they do really well one season, would you pop up and say "oh, they're my hometown team, I've always liked them" or shade off and say "Eh..I'm a Ravens fan."

That's what I don't get. That's like me claiming that I'm a Washington Redskins or Capitals fan if they started doing good all of a sudden.
Okay, let me tell you this: I don't like the NFL as much as MLB and NBA. I honestly don't care who wins. I always jump on NFL bandwagons. If the Lions were good, I'd probably like them. I just don't care for the NFL as much. I've been a Tiger fan and a Piston fan forever.

I do. I like two teams in almost everything, BUT, only ONE team I TRUELY care about. The other team is kind of like that one team you "pull" for because they have a player or coach your really like.Ie: USC trojans in football, because I like Pete Carroll...but I really am a Rutgers FIRST fan.Another example is the Rockets for me. I like Van Gundy and Yao, but am really a die hard Knicks fan first.

Fair enough. :happy0144: What I meant in my other post is people who start liking a team one season and claim to be a die-hard fan the next day. It's really agguravating.
