I wonder how physical this game gets. It might get real testy. Hopefully they don't take the eye for an eye approach. They shouldn't...... CP3 hurt himself. But none the less I can see Doc telling them to lay it all out on the floor.
For the Season PER 8.2 Per36 12.2pts, 5.4reb 2.1ast Shooting .363/.310/.818 Playoffs so far PER -4.1 Per36 4.0pts, 2.7reb, 1.3ast Shooting .167/.000/.500 Seriously Kaman is more effective when in.
Helps their offense relative to playing someone like Austin Rivers, I assume is what he meant. Also, Pierce is cooked. I guess it's theoretically possible he could have one more big game, but it's quite unlikely. The Clippers are a top-heavy team with no depth and they just lost their two best players.
I don't think anyone but Pierce has ever carried a team to a win in the playoffs though. DJ/JJ are only as good as CP3 is at getting them the ball. Crawford for the playoffs historically shoots poorly. All but one game this series he's shot really poor.(game 3 he shot poor too, just got super hot in the 2nd half) Rivers/Green can get their own shot but are super inconsistent and not players who would scare you over 48 minutes. If that giant-white-guy is in, DJ isn't so that would be a win for the Blazers. One of their point guards was like 40 when he entered the league 6 years ago. So yeah the only one I'm technically worried about is Pierece channeling his shit like he did for the Wizards last year... Or for the Celtics in the past. It is unlikely though.
So Jamal Crawford will get 40 minutes off the bench. They have Cole Adrich, Wesley Johnson, and Pablo Prigioni off the bench as well. Lmao.. Do we play Rivers/JJ/Moute/Green/Jordan straight up? I think we should stick Harkless on Redick and CJ on Mbah Moute. The only chance the the Clips have is for Redick to get insanely hot, and Harkless length would bother him. We could maybe stick Aminu on Jordan and switch those pindowns.
Clips really do have nice depth. They can run that lineup and still have Crawford, Johnson and Aldrich off the bench, which is not terrible.
This is the thread I responded to, it was quoted in my response: So, not relative to CP3, relative to starting Redick and Rivers and bringing Crawford off the bench. Starting all three and going small will help their offense, but hurt their defense. Sounds like they plan to start Rivers and Green in place of Paul and Griffin and keep Crawford in his 6th man role. Regardless of who they start, I expect Crawford to be in at the end of the game and play about 2 - 3x the minutes Mbah a Moute pays. BNM
