Honestly everyone is pretty much sucking on the mound so the obsession over Sabathia needs to end. He's a fifth starter.

Like ARod is DH? Keep the has-been in until he breaks down? Great plan.

Revision Y- to original plan, do everything opposite of "the plan"...

A- Call Psychic hotline, for leads on acquisitions, and who should play when and where

B - get rid of young talent
    1. fire all scouts who fill out reports on anyone under 32

C -spend more money for 32+ yr old Free Agents (sign for 10 yrs). FA's returning from off season surgery get bonuses, more playing time too.
    1. hold out until Harper and Trout are available, then spend entire payroll for decade to follow, on both. Use rookie ball roster to fill the gaps
    2. fervently pursue all Scott Bor-ass clients
    3. Pay top dollar to players all teams pass on, mediocrity is the new perfection

C - File petition with Commish, to allow dual rosters. Fielder's not required to bat, [allow entire new (2nd) 9 man roster; 1 lineup for hitting, another for fielding].
    1. Abolish DL, inactive players can play to this standard set by Hanky

D= From Trashman and Tadpoles secret files: (Comic Books) ***

    1. find this guy, and sell the Planet to obtain- "he's real, we saw him on TV commercials, and he's even got his own movies". Hell hire Her also, I hear she she's a hit....
    wonder-woman-and-superman-superman-33755008-1920-1200.jpg

*** nothing wrong with comic books or cb fans, usually most know reality vs fiction, less the 2 clowns running the show, or is Trashman merely Hanky's own personal mascot/fanboy?

...Sabathia may be a 5th starter but he's making Ace money ( $25 Mil this year and next) and he's also taking up a roster spot that another pitcher would be more deserving of...so I can see the frustration whenever he pitches.

...both pitching (4.47 ERA) and hitting (3.68 runs per game) by the Yanx is among the very worst in MLB.

...if things don't change pretty quickly, Girardi will be fired by the AS break...while Cashman gets another raise and another extension.

I'd really love to know what Cashman's raise & contract extension was based on.

^^^it came immediately after the 2014 season...and evidently it was based on the Steins believing he had done such a bang up job up to that point.

...but keep in mind that if you criticize Cashman, you yourself will be criticized...so watch it !

I'm not in love with Sabathia but what deserving guy? Nova sucks and Mitchell got hurt. Sabathia and the #5 spot are the least of this teams problems.

You don't know what you're going to get from any of them which is the point and the major problem. Look at Pineda. Is the fifth starter really the worry?

...no more or no less than Headley.

...and actually, CC's contract and those contracts like his are this team's problem...and has been for awhile.

...CC, Headley, Tex, ARod, Ellsbury, Beltran, etc.

Sabathia is what he is. His first four years were really good and then the wheels fell off. The guy was used like a horse and broke down. Nobody predicted it before hand so it's difficult to play I told you so about it now. Moving forward like I said there's much bigger problems. Headley who was a mistake to begin with is two more years at $13 million a season and absolutely kills you at a corner position. Doesn't hit for average or power and should honestly be a platoon player. The Yankees shed Tex and Beltran after this season and there's thankfully light at the end of the tunnel with Arod's deal. The killer right now is Ellsbury who is signed for four more years and one of the worst contracts in baseball. He could never come close to playing to the value of the deal and it's not going to get better in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

^^^and Cashman is the father of all this. Sorry, but some may not like me bashing him as much as I do but the fact is that he has to be held accountable for the current status of this team. Cashman is not a GM, he's a figurehead for the Steins and nobody fears the Yanx anymore...they're a mediocre team that is going nowhere.
...Cashman also gave CC a opt out clause and needlessly resigned CC by tearing up his existing contract and giving him a new one, even though CC never actually opted out...brilliant, simply brilliant.

His contract (like A-Roids) never should have been upped, Cashman should have let them both walk after they opted out. Especially A-Rod.

    Without a doubt......mediocrity lives in
Yankee pinstripes for a long time. I cannot
get excited anymore at the mention that
the Yankees are on TV.......forget about going
to the Stadium to watch this crap of a team.

Over the next year or two a shitload of money will be coming off the books, that's the good news. The bad news is that Cashman will be using that money for........WHO?

What's done it done contract wise even though there was little reason for the Yankees to pile on top of already existing long term deals. I don't want any future long term deals unless their name is Bryce Harper. As for a guy like Headley the Yankees are going to have to eat money on the last two years of that deal and figure out a way to get him out of here. You cannot have him clogging up the corner and doing nothing for two more years.

...they're also basically gonna have to eat money in the final years of Ellsbury's, CC's, ARod's contracts too.
