Wouldn't care about that if he wasn't falling apart. Since he is, doesn't matter.

Thats a terrible ft shooting unit. And a bad shooting unit all around. Need a big that can spread the floor.

Favorites to chance him (basically those with money to spend and want a big at the same time).

Have Howard play the 4. Him down low and Plumlee running the offense from the high post...that could work.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I'd pass. His defense is declining pretty quickly and his rebounding is very David Lee-ish...he basically bolsters his rebounding by taking rebounds from teammates, rather than getting rebounds that would otherwise go to the other team.

Offensively, he was never a good post-up player and now he's worse. Yet, he wants a big offensive role.

If he came for Plumlee or Davis salaries, he'd be interesting. Coming at star salaries, no way.

I would take Dwight as our Center. It's pretty obvious he doesn't get along with Prima Donnas, which we don't have, but Kobe and Harden are 2 of the biggest the league has had in the last 30 years. I think we would start Howard and Leonard with Plumlee and Davis rotating in.

    You're all fired (Schilly & B-Roy, you guys too:tongue2:)!

The ONLY way I'd accept him here is IF we IMMEDIATELY traded him for Boogie just like selloutking said:

A 3 year deal with a team option on the 3rd would be a good deal. I'm convinced Stotts can get a buy in from Dwight, who at this point in his career just wants to win. No more screwing around, if he does commit to Portland he would do so knowing he's the 3rd option at best.

I probably would have taken him at the trade deadline to give him audition with the team, but to sign him outright after how badly Houston has performed this season...... and it would have to be a fairly sizable contract. No thanks.

He would need to accept a Tyson Chandler type role if he wanted to come here. Just focus on the little things and he is a game changer. At this point of his career he isn't a star he is an extremely valuable role player (like Batum).

Depends on who else you can get a buy in from. All this talk about Horford or Whiteside etc. relies on the scenario where they actually choose Portland. Howard at the very least has less suitors, and is a more realistic target. Not saying make him priority A, but if all else fails walking away this offseason with no one would be a massive failure.

The big problem that I see is that we would have to renounce some people to clear enough cap space to make significant moves.

    I want to keep Crabbe.

    I want to keep Harkless.

I don't really want to keep Leonard, but I also don't want to lose him for nothing.

I actually want to keep Leonard over Crabbe

And that has nothing to do with the Jersey!

I think Crabbe is more replaceable than Leonard.

Crabbe's cap hold isn't very big. You'd only need to renounce him if you're short $3M (I think his cap hold is about that).

Leonard was hardly a factor during this season. How is that not easy to replace?

Don't worry, they will change the Hack-A-Player rule though.
