It's starting to look that way. Nash is having his best year in his career and the suns are right up there with the mavs. I think it is coming down to Nash and Dirk.
Again? Come on we all know this stuff. I've said it a million times, Nash = 3 MVPs. Just wait and see and check back the last 5 pages for about 8 topics on this.
I think LeBron also has a good shot at this if his teammates step up and play a bit better for the rest of the season.
nah lebron aint gonna get it . If he didnt get it last season with 30 7 7 no way he gets it with 25 6 6 But I would say kobe should get it but nash is haven the best year of his career. so how can you say he shouldnt win it.. Kobe gonna have to finish about 3rd in west to get it.
Winning the MVP award is not about the stats.. It's mainly about how many games a team will win and how much better the player makes his teammates. Nash's stats aren't as eye popping as LeBron, Dirk, Kobe, etc. but yet he number one in the MVP race.
Even if Steve Nash deserves to win it the most, he won't get it. I don't think the NBA will allow it to happen. I see Kobe Bryant bringing it home.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>If Nash wins his 3rd MVP this season Ballaholic has to give me his admin power for a week. KOBE BRYANT.Look at the players who have won 3 straight MVP's and Nash doesn't rank in that category. Kobe deserves it. Leading his team with a team that isn't that talented and is young. Just a thought of people who won 3 straight MVPsMichael JordanBill RussellWilt ChamberlainLarry BirdMagic JohnsonNash isn't in their league. All have won atleast won 2 or more championships and Nash has not yet made an apearrance in the finals. Nash doesn't come into anyone's mind when people think of those players.
I think at this point it isn't about who won 3 MVP's and how he doesn't fit into that category. If he gets it this year [which he has a GREAT shot at getting], then he gets another one. It is 3 straight, but I refuse to consider him with others who have won 3, maybe even 2 in a row.I'm really rooting for Kobe, I think this is his year to finally get an award. He's really stepping up. Not statistically, but it's more the intangibles. The leadership, the stats you can't write down on paper. Plus his teammates seem to be really stepping up lately.
Look, this is how I see it...Steve Nash didn't deserve to win it last season. Last season, Kobe should have been holding the MVP trophy. He did so much for the Lakers, breaking numerous records and carring a mediorce team into the playoffs with a nice record. This season Steve Nash DOES deserve it and maybe even a bit more than Kobe but because Nash got it last year and not Kobe, maybe the league will make up for lost cause and give the award to Kobe. But yes, Kobe is doing a very nice ball distributing the ball this year and being the playmaker. Dirk and Boozer should be mentioned as well.
Guys, they're not going to prevent Steve Nash from winning a third MVP because he doesn't fit in the category. They aren't going to prevent Steve Nash from winning a third at all. Who do you mean by they? And even if you did know that, how are they going to prevent it?

By they, they obviously mean the people who vote for the MVP so yes they could prevent Nash from winning if they're told to.
You have to throw Arenas into the mix. If he keeps leading his team to great places and puts up a ton of points, he should finish high in the MVP voting. But by the way the season looks now, I think Tony will lose some Admin powers. The week Pacerfan gets admin powers is the week I leave BBW. I'll come back, but it will be a week-long break.

If Kobe just got what he deserved last year, none of this would happen and he might just be winning his 2nd straight this year.Damn you Steve Nash!
