It's mainly about how many games a team will win and how much better the player makes his teammates. Nash's stats aren't as eye popping as LeBron, Dirk, Kobe, etc. but yet he number one in the MVP race.</div>The only problem is that Lebron's arent eyepopping, either are dirks or even kobes. At the moment the main contenders in my book are Gilbert Arenas and Steve Nash. There are none other we have prove something out of the extraordinary.

Looks like Dirk is making a push now for the MVP with a 43 point effort in a comeback win against the Pacers. Dirk was pure clutch.

This year yes I think actually he deserves the MVP for sure 20/10 kinda #'s are amazing.Last year though Lebron 30/7/7 should have won the MVP, or Kobe. And the year before that AI instead he finished 4th, or 5th. When he averaged DOUBLE Nash's points and only averaged 3 assists less. 3 assists looks like 6 points yet Nash averaged 15 AI 30 that year so 3 assists does not look like Nash should have won it that year. And even though I don't understand how he won it the last 2 years this year I actually think he deserves it.
